Task 2: Prepare the Step 1: Cable a network that is similar to the one in the topology
Network diagram.

Task 3: Perform Basic Step 1: Configure the switches and router according to the
Configurations following guidelines.
• Configure the switch and router hostname.
• Configure banner MOTD for each switch and router
• Configure an EXEC mode password of class.
• Configure a password of cisco for console, telnet/ssh and
auxiliary connections
• Shutdown all switch ports.

Task 4: Configure and Step 1: Configure the Ethernet interfaces on the host PCs.
Activate Ethernet Configure the Ethernet interfaces of PCs with the IP addresses
Interfaces and default gateways listed in the addressing table.

Task 5: Configure Step 1: Configure appropriate VLANs for each switches.

VLANs on the
Switches VLAN VLAN Name
VLAN 1 Management
VLAN 70 Finance Department
VLAN 737 Sales Department

Step 2: Configure access port for user access for each switches.
Assign appropriate data VLAN for each switchport.

Step 3: Configure the Management interface address on all

switches. Use interface VLAN1 as Management interface.
Remember to configure ip default-gateway for each switches as
the gateway.

Step 7: Check connectivity between VLANs.

Step 1: Configure mode spanning-tree for each switch with rapid-

Task 6: Configure
pvst.
Spanning Tree
Step 2: Configure root primary and root secondary based on
Appendix 1.

Step 3: Verify the configuration successes by using command

show spanning-tree for switches.

Task 7: Configure Step 1: Configure the G0/1 interface on R1 and R2 with three
Router subinterfaces, one for each VLAN identified in the Subinterface
Configuration Table at the beginning of the lab. Configure these
subinterfaces with dot1q encapsulation, and use the first address
in each VLAN subnet on the router subinterface.

Do not assign an IP address to the physical interface, G0/1 but be

sure to enable it.

Step 2: Verify the routing configuration.

At this point, there should be three networks configured on R1
and R2. Verify that you can route packets to all three by checking
the routing table on R1 and R2 by using command show ip
route.

Step 3: Verify inter-VLAN routing

At this point, you should be able to ping any node on any of the
three networks configured on your LAN, including the switch
management interfaces.

Step 4: Configure Hot Short Redundancy Protocol (HSRP)

Step 5: Verify the functional of configured HSRP by shutdown the

interface G0/1 on R1 or R2.

Step 6: Configure dynamic routing protocol to route different

network and Loopback0 network. Use eigrp or single-area ospf
routing protocol.

Task 8: Configure Step 1: Open the Graphic User Interface(GUI) and set up as
Wireless Router below:

SETUP
• Internet Setup:
- Internet Connection type: Static IP
- Internet IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway
• Network Setup
- Router IP, Subnet Mask
- DHCP Server Settings
DHCP Server:Enabled, Start IP Address, Maximum
number.
WIRELESS

• Basic Wireless Settings

- Network mode, SSID, SSID Broadcast
• Wireless Security
- Security Mode: WPA2 Personal

Step 2: Configure network for GUEST in router R2.

Step 3: Verifying connection with the Loopback0 network.
