• Get a Job is a 1/2 day workshop that covers the basic job searching techniques including career
exploration, planning a work search, completing job applications, fact sheets, appropriate appearance and
creating good first impressions. This workshop is for job seekers entering or re-entering the workforce.
Please bring with you a professional email address, employment history including supervisors name,
phone number, pay history, education history, military history and references if applicable.
2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
• Keep a Job is a 1/2 day workshop that covers essential skills for succeeding in the workplace. Topics
include employer expectations, time management, conflict resolution, dealing with change, balancing
work and family, interpersonal skills and workplace ethics. This workshop is for anyone who feels that
they could use assistance in retaining or maintaining a job. This workshop will be offered twice monthly

Book of the Week
This book is part of the “Putting the Bars Behind You” series and aimed at those who are looking for work after
being incarcerated. The purpose of this book is to help you take a look of all your skills and strengths that you
could us in the workforce. After you do this you can then figure out what type of work you would like to do.
This book goes through step by step to help you figure all this out. It also includes your personality skills. If you
or someone you know was just released from jail/prison I recommend reading this book to help you find
employment.
Networking Is The Time-Honored Process Of Using Cordial Alliances And Information Referrals To
Further One's Professional Advancement And Success. Networking Is A Two-Way Street. Members Call
On Friends And Colleagues For Problem Solving, Information Gathering, Job Leads, Gaining Access To
Role Models, And For General Support. In Turn, They Provide These Services To Peers And People On
The Way Up. Come network with peers!
