The problem:

Construction industry in Malaysia is currently faced several recurring problems, which

hampers the traditional goals of construction, i.e. within accepted quality, within budget, and
within agreed time frame. Thus, a focus on budget from the perspective of economic viability
and management were made. It is believed that poorer management efforts towards those
particular perspective were the major culprit for budget/cost problems.

The task:

In this task, our group have been given an opportunity to run a new project that required
capital financing of “RM 1 MILLION” to be utilize and the topic given to our group is
“Leased vs. Buy vs. Status Quo Decision” which mean we have to compare between this
three type of economic method to run our project.

Project description:

Our group has decide to run a housing project, the type of housing that we choose is
construction of bungalow house that exceed more than RM 1 MILLION, but the name of the
project is not been specifically state and also the location is not confirm.
