CHAPTER V

PRODUCTION PLAN

Production Schedule

Saint Michael College of Caraga

Open 8:00 am – 4:30 pm School Canteen

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday

Production Management

Production managers are concerned with the design and implementation

of systems and processes for getting work done. They are responsible for

transforming input resources into desired outputs for some specified quality at a

minimum cost. They must examine the objectives of the firm and work within the

constraints of the system to operate most effectively and efficiently.

20
Production Process

Each student has the corresponding position in every production plan.

Production manager must consider the investment on manufacturing facilities

and for some production cost. Planning quite naturally comes after the product

design and arts for the convenience and liability of this product. Furthermore,

some staffs has a comprehensive inventory for scheduling, and some of them

are the one who has the responsibility for the Materials and taken.

Processing Plant and Equipment

Finding a location of a business is a big problem to face periodically

because we need to choose a location that will accessible to the appropriate

residential areas. We decided that our business will be located at Saint Michael

College of Caraga, it will be easy for us because the location we chose is in our

School, and definitely findable.

21

Sources of Materials

We the Production team decided to contribute some of materials, spare

parts that will be perishable items and that will be used to our product to sell, so

we don’t have to spend too much on our expenses. But most of the Materials

need to purchase from Appliances store / Electronic Facility. And also we provide

materials needed for every product to be display to our small business that every

student would be able to buy, and its availability.

Production Cost

In order an executive authorization to produce a particular item or group

item - in order to conforms the general production. An investing problem occurs

when it comes to money or the total cost of all equipment to buy for the

effectively of those things, and seasonal product.

CHAPTER VI

MARKETING PLAN

Product

The ICT and IA strands of Saint Michael College of Caraga are offering

the following products to make the business work in complying the

Entrepreneurship subject. First is portable speakers made from nature casings

such as bamboo and modified materials. Another product we offer is sticker

designs. Our products are suitable for the personal use. The services proposed

to offer are down-loadings, hand-drawn sketches, and service repair for TV and

sound electronics. The products and services that we produced are suitable for

our strand so these make us very easy to serve the customers. The ICT and IA

are highly making this business to work.

Place

The proposed headquarter location of our business is on Atupan Street,

Nasipit, Agusan del Norte inside the campus of Saint Michael College of Caraga

where we supply our products and services for students.

23

Price

Penetration pricing or pricing to gain market share strategy is used to

provide a few services for free or keep a low price of the products for a

limited period of time that is for a few months. This strategy is used by EMIT

only in order to set up the customer base in a particular market.

Psychological pricing strategy is used. Psychological pricing Strategies

is an approach of gathering the consumer’s emotional respond instead of his

rational respond. For most consumers price is an indicating factor for buying

or not buying a product.

Pricing for promotions strategy is used. These promotion offers can

include, discount offers, gift or money coupons or vouchers, buy one and get one

free, etc. to promote new and even existing products companies do adopt such

strategies where they roll out these offers to promote their products. EMIT thinks

consumer considers buying the product and service for the offer that the

consumer receives.

Pricing of premium products strategy is used. Premium products are

priced higher due to their unique branding approach. A high price for premium

products is an extensive competitive advantage to the manufacturer as the high

price for these products assures them that they are safe in the market due to

their relatively high price. The higher the cost the more will be the value of the

product amongst that class of audience.

24

Promotion

Social media promotion is used. Social media websites such as Facebook

and Google+ offer companies a way to promote products and services in a more

relaxed environment. This is direct marketing at its best. Social networks connect

with a world of potential customers that can view our company from a different

perspective. Rather than seeing our company as "trying to sell" something, the

social network can see a company that is in touch with people on a more

personal level.

Contest promotion is used. Contests are a frequently used promotional

strategy. Many contests don't even require a purchase. The idea is to promote

the brand and put our logo and name in front of the public rather than make

money through a hard-sell campaign. People like to win prizes. Sponsoring

contests can bring attention to our product without company covertness.

Mail Order Marketing is used. Is getting personal information from these

customers and offer a free product or service in exchange for the information,

these are customers who are already familiar with our company and represent

the target audience we want to market our new products to.

Customer Referral Incentive Program is used. The customer referral

incentive program is a way to encourage current customers to refer new

customers to our store. Free products, big discounts and cash rewards are some

of the incentives we use. This is a promotional strategy that leverages our

customer base as a sales force.

25

Branded Promotional Gifts is used. Giving away functional branded gifts

can be a more effective promotional move than handing out simple business

cards. Putting our business card on a magnet, ink pen or key chains are an

example. These are gifts we give to our customers that they may use, which

keeps our business in plain sight rather than in the trash or in a drawer with other

business cards the customer may not look at.

After-Sale Customer Surveys is used. Contacting customers by telephone

or through the mail after a sale is a promotional strategy that puts the importance

of customer satisfaction first while leaving the door open for a promotional

opportunity. Skilled salespeople make survey calls to customers to gather

information that can later be used for marketing by asking questions relating to

the way the customers feel about the products and services purchased. This

serves the dual purpose of promoting our company as one that cares what the

customer thinks and one that is always striving to provide the best service and

product.

People

The target customers that we aim to served is the students and the

teachers in Saint Michael College of Caraga. Another target are the people

related to our products and services offered.

26

Packaging

The packaging materials that we use for our products to protect during

storing period are the paper and carton for the solid-based products and

cellophane's for other items that are light-weight. Packaging aims for product

protection during its route manufacturer .To remain the features of the product

and to increase the profit possibilities, particularly when other customer buy the

product primarily because of the package. For the labels and designing, we will

use Photoshop to edit the label name which plastered at the front-center of the

package namely “EMIT” and a little design to make the package presentable.

Positioning

The ICT and IA proposed business are more on services in repair

domestic appliances such as Television, Speaker, Headset, Cellphone, Electric

Fan and etc., downloading and printing. The business may position itself as

offering hip, innovative, and use-friendly technology products and good services

with low prices and very accommodating to customers.

CHAPTER X

RISK ASSESSMENT

Weakness of Business

The proposed businesses weakness is its unpredictable changes in the

industry, any changes could drop our projected sales. Another is its

management; if ever the management is not handled properly it could mean its

drop of profit or potentially our companies end. Our Business already list this as

one of its weakness and commits to balance out with any change that may occur

in the process.

New Technologies

The proposed business utilizes modified electronics especially in

speakers, also with the use of fast down-loading software and tools for repairs.

The business of Emit will continue to use new technologies in both short and long

run of our venture, and pursue to be one of the companies that develop new

technologies.
43
Contingency Plans

The business of EMIT offers the products of speakers and stickers with

the services of down-loading, hand-drawn sketches and electronic repairs. If all

our business fails we implement the contingency plan of selling all our resources

and come up with a new business of creating software.
