Algunos verbos de percepción (hear, feel, see…) let y make van seguidos de
verbos en la forma base (sin to)
VERBOS SEGUIDOS DE GERUNDIO Y DE INFINITIVO.

REGRET.
Los sufijos son terminaciones que añadimos a algunas palabras para formar
otras nuevas.
Para formar nombres a partir de verbos usamos los sufijos ment, tion/sion
y er/or.
Los sufijo ed e ing se añaden a los verbos para formar adjetivos. Los
adjetivos terminados en ed describen cómo se siente uno/a y los terminados
en ing, lo que hace uno/a se sienta así.

Por último, también se forman adjetivos añadiendo los sufijos ous, al, able,
ive y ant/ent a algunos nombres.
Son letras que añadimos al principio de algunas palabras para formar otras
palabras nuevas.
el prefijo mis se añade a algunos nombres y verbos para indicar que algo se
hace mal o incorrectamente.
Los prefijos under, over y non- son fáciles de entender, y en cuanto a co-,
re, inter, anti-, bi, pre y multi, significan lo mismo que en nuestra lengua.
MODALES
- No se conjugan.
- Sólo tienen una forma, no se pueden cambiar de tiempo verbal.
- En su única forma pueden tener valor de presente o de futuro, depende el
contexto.
- Para ponerlos el pasado se usa su forma perfecta (aunque implica ciertos
matices)

- Para ponerlos en pasado, se usa su forma perfecta. Ejm: She must have
been sad. (Excepto COULD, que si lo ponemos en perfecto no significa lo
mismo)
- MUST (afirmativo) y CAN’T (negativo) solo pueden aparecer como están,
nunca en otras formas.
- MAY/MIGHT/COULD se pueden poner en afirmación, negación e
interrogación.

- Suelen aparecer en preguntas.

NEEDN’T HAVE: Se hizo algo que no era necesario (-) No había necesidad de

la frase que haga referencia al pasado. Puede haber expresiones temporales
(yesterday, ago, last…) o algún otro verbo en pasado.

Para unir las dos frases en una, nos tenemos que fijar en la 2ª frase.
Las frases con relative (relative clauses) pueden ser de dos tipos:

formal y otra más coloquial.
