Singapore, 13 August 2010 – SGX Mainboard-listed CNA Group Ltd. (“CNA”

or the “Group”), announced today its financial results for the six months
ended 30 June 2010 (“1H2010”).

For 1H2010, the Group’s net profit attributable to shareholders rose 22.3% to
S$3.95 million led by an increased share of associate profits from Standard
Water Limited (“SWL”) to S$3.7 million in 1H2010 from S$1.7 million in
1H2009.

As at 30 June 2010, SWL has been operating 26 waste water treatment

plants, earning monthly tariffs of about RMB 10 million (S$2.1 million).

CNA’s 1H2010 bottom-line growth was achieved despite a fall in 1H2010

turnover to S$46.6 million which the award-winning enabler of intelligent
buildings and facilities attributed to an expected reduced contribution of S$7.8
million from S$30.7 million by its Middle East subsidiary, CNA Integrated
(CNA IT).

In 1H2010, CNA IT had worked on a smaller number of projects as a fall out

of the global financial crisis as compared to the previous period.

Encouragingly, the Group’s 1H2010 revenue decline was moderated by an

average increase of 28.0% in revenue contribution from its Singapore, China
and Vietnam core business operations.

However, CNA’s 1H2010 profit from operations declined 89.2% to S$0.3

million from S$2.8 million in 1H2009.
Commenting on 1H2010 performance, Mr Michael Ong, CNA’s Group
President and CEO said, “Our core business strategies continue to remain
intact. Despite the lower revenue this period, CNA has been making
significant progress in winning more projects.”

As at 30 June 2010, CNA’s order book stood at S$48 million, of which S$35
million are new orders.

Also, at 30 June 2010, CNA reported increases in basic earnings per share to
2.01 S cents from 1.70 S cents and in net asset value per share to
36.46 S cents from 32.52 S cents.

Separately, CNA also updated that KPMG’s audit of the consolidated financial
statements of SWL for financial years ended 2008 and 2009 had been
significantly completed. Based on the latest management accounts of SWL
Group, CNA’s share of SWL profits amounted to S$5.6 million and S$9.7
million for the financial years ended 31 December 2008 and 2009
respectively.

On outlook, the Group updated that it has stepped up its marketing initiatives
and has been making rapid strides towards the final stages of bidding for
major projects in Singapore and Vietnam.

In China, CNA is actively pursuing large-scale projects including more

passenger information system contracts, an upcoming business vertical that
the Group has seen exciting opportunities in since 2009.

Furthermore as the economic environment in the Middle East stablises and

improves since the Dubai credit crisis, the Group is also seeking business
opportunities there although in a cautious and selective manner.

Hence with many regional and global markets gradually recovering, CNA
anticipates a sustainable full year performance.

Additionally as disclosed in the Company’s exchange filing of 2Q/1H2010

results announcement, following the Company’s plan to divest its stake in
SWL, the Board has reclassified its investment in associate, SWL and the
effective date of reclassification is 30th June 2010. The Group shall cease
equity accounting of the Company’s share of SWL profits from 1st July 2010.

-End-
