SPECIFICATIONS
 PAGE 2 Most Important Combination Key:
Calibrate Weight

- Press Span switch, “change span switch” will display in screen,

Go to Z Mode, Press and Hold Re-zero while pressing 8715.

Note: Need to calibrate if you encountered only the following problems:

 Not correct weight reading.

 Weight Reset error in display.
 If you change max capacity and 1/5 calibration.
 AD board replacement.

Initialize Network

- Turn off the machine, turn back on the

Machine while HoldingRe-zero and C.

Clear Memory Only

- Turn off the machine, turn back on the

Machine while Holding Re-zero and Feed.

Calibrate Thermal head

- In registration mode, Press and Hold Re-zero

while pressing 514, (default value is -15).

Gap sensor voltage

- in registration mode, Press and Hold Re-zero while pressing

516, (default voltage is -3.4v).

Re-format Weighing Scale

- Turn off the machine,Span switch ON, turn

back on theMachine whileHolding Re-zero
and Pre-Pack,Country code value is “2”.

I. Initializing the scale

1. Before turning ON the scale, Press (hold) RE-ZERO and PRE-PACK then turn ON
the scale.
2. Press * (Total Print) three times.
3. Press C (Clear the Memory).
4. Restart Scale (Off then On the scale).

II. Machine Specs Setting (Standalone Setup) Specs 141

1. Go to Z mode by Pressing (M)(RE-ZERO)(M)(M)

“ TO CLEAR DAILY TRANSACTION” display in screen.
2. Press and hold (RE-ZERO) then press (141), then release all pressed keys if you
already see this on screen “SP0:IT BARCODE”.
3. Press 1 X (Multiplication sign) the press “1” for Price base or “2” for Weight
base.
Weight Based Price Based

4. Press 3 X then Press the desired flag code (ex. 20) then Press *.
Note: 20 is the flag code in your barcode. Your barcode format is FF CCCCC
XXXXX CD where FF = 20 or any 2 digit number CCCCC = is your “item code”
XXXXX = is your “Price” and CD = is your “Check digit” (Machine generated)
5. Press 20 then *
6. Press 4 X then Press the desired flag code (ex. 20) then Press *.
7. Press 10 X then Press 20 then *
8. Press 17 X then Press 0 then * (MM/DD/YY)
9. Press 24 X then Press 16 then *
10. Press 25 X the Press 16 then *
11. Press 28 X then Press 0 (to Disable PEEL SENSOR/PPK), then Press *

III. Clearing the Memory

(Note: Label format, Text format, Shopname and All PLU will be erased and need to
Re-Program again)

1. Before turning On the scale, Press Re-Zero (hold) then Press -> (FEED) then turn
ON the w.scale, Release all Pressed keys if you see this on screen “MEMORY
CLEAR?” Press C to clear or T to cancel memory clear.
2. Please wait then Press Rezero.

IV. Initializing Network

(Note: Daily transaction will be erased, make sure to print Report first)

1. Before turning on the scale, Press and hold Re-Zero and C (Clear) then Switch ON the scale.
2. Press C to initialize network.
3. Restart the scale and then press Re-zero.

1. Turn ON the scale then Press Re-Zero.

VII. Shopname Programming

1. On the Operation mode (R Mode), Press M, Re-Zero, M

2. Press 5 X then press 1 then *
3. Press Preset Key#55 (CharSize) Seven Times to set “M3” then Press Preset Key#48
(LetterSize).
4. Type your Shopname (ex. MONTEREY MEATSHOP)
5. Press Code#PLU to save data.
6. Press M,M,M to exit.

VIII. Calibration of Weight

1. Press “Span Switch”, then Press M’ Re-Zero, M, M (Z Mode)

2. Press and Hold Re-Zero while Pressing 8715, “CALIBRATION MODE” on display.
3. Then remove all wt and prt, press “Total Print *”.
4. Put 3KG test weight on Platter for 1/5 calibration of 15KG Capacity only, then press
“Total Print *” please wait.
5. Remove Weight after Calibration.

IX. Other Important Functions and Settings (Most Important only)

A. How to Remove Forgotten password of weighing scale.

 Check scale Country Code by Executing Re-Zero & Pre-Pack
Ex. 02, 82
 Check Firmware Version by turning on the scale.
Ex. 19.54
 On the Operation mode (R Mode), Press M,Re-Zero,M,M,M (X MODE
PASSWORD) on screen.
 Type Country Code “82” then followed by Frimware Version “19.54”
Ex. 821954.
 Press * four times to clear all password.
B. How to Copy all files from SM-300p to SM-300p only Using Cross Ethernet Cable. (Plu files,
Logo, Label Format, Text Format)
 Server Side (Source) Meaning with complete Data:
Press M,Re-Zero,M,M (Z Mode), then Press and Hold Re-zero then
Press 0416, Take note the ip address what you’ve seen on screen,
(ex. 192168000100).
 Client Side (Destination) Meaning No Plu Files,Label Format, etc.:
Press M,Re-Zero,M,M (Z Mode), then Press and Hold Re-Zero then
Press 141, Press 48 X,then Type 101 * *, then Press 0 (to set in
client mode), Press 194 X, then type 100 (Servers ip address Last
3 digit), Press Code#Plu to save data. Restart and Re-initialize

 Pls. obsere that after you initialize the network “Client: 101” must be
Seen on Screen, meaning that you have successfully set w.scale to
client mode.
 In Client w.scale, Press M,Re-Zero,M (S Mode),Press 30 X, Press * then
press “Preset Key#8(PPKDP)” until “All Files” will display on screen,
then Press * *
 Pls. wait until the downloads complete, then press M,M,M,M,Re-
Zero,M then press 20 X, checked if the plu files is successfully
downloaded, then Press M,M,M.
 Test print by Pressing Plu Code (ex. 12345) then press Code#Plu, then
Press *, Check if the plu is Printed normally.

D. Power Supply Troubleshooting (Common problem is NO POWER, FUSE ALWAYS BUSTED).

Replace the Following parts in power supply:
