5 TO 7 FEBRUARY

INTRODUCTION
The “Chakravyuh” that Dronacharya had constructed on the
thirteenth day of the Mahabharata war changed the course of
the war altogether. Every year, “Chakravyuh” at IMT-
Ghaziabad brings the ardour, strength, skill, energy and passion
exhibited by Abhimanyu ages ago onto the fields & arenas of
IMT-Ghaziabad. Every year, sports persons from premier B-
Schools of the country show their perseverance, focus, team
spirit and skill in various sports and games backed by an
unending desire to win, all the while endorsing the spirit of
sportsmanship. “Chakravyuh” for us symbolises energy. It
symbolises the ability of a sportsman to carry the burden of
expectations of his peers on his shoulders. It symbolises strength
and agility. We believe, “Everyone has a reason to fight; the
king for defending his crown and the rivals for achieving it.”

72 hours of Chakravyuh is all it takes to experience the thrill of

a life-time....
Since 29 years, Institute of Management Technology (IMT),
Ghaziabad has moulded itself as a premier B-School of the
country, contributing extensively to the dynamic field of
management education. The biggest asset of any educational
institute is arguably the quality of students who are a part of it
and IMT boasts of an eclectic student fraternity who are
diversified in their interests and exhibit commendable skills
across various domains. Be it inside the classrooms or during
presentations in the board rooms or in the sporting arena,
IMTians exhibit energy, dedication, smartness, strength and wit
along with a strong sense of bonding and camaraderie. Apart
from having futuristic infrastructure, IMT provides state of the
art sports facilities inside the campus that helps the student
managers maintain a balance between the rigour of studies along
with physical fitness and mental alertness that is so very
essential to face the biggest battle called “Life”. Life inside the
lush green campus is an experience that literally is out of the
world. It is a celebration, a journey that unravels its beauty
with each passing day. An important part of the magnificent
celebration of that life at IMT is “Chakravyuh”.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So true and it
obviously does not apply to us. So, we IMTians believe in
working hard and then unwinding by racing on to the field for
equally hard fought games. Apart from producing managers
ready to take the world to its knees, IMTians are known for
their prowess in extra-curricular activities and the prevalent
sporting culture. The student managers utilise the exemplary
sporting facilities at IMT-G to let their hair down at the end of
the day and also to implement the management theories of team-
work, strategies and motivation on the field to their advantage
and best effect. The rich culture of sports at IMT-G can very
well be gauged by the numerous accolades achieved by IMTians
in various sporting events in the past as well as by the
immensely successful phenomenon called “Chakravyuh”
conducted every year at IMT-G.
WHAT’S IN THE STORE

FOR YOU… Since more than a decade “Chakravyuh” has brought out the best
in the participating student managers in a gamut of sporting
events including football, cricket, badminton, volleyball,
basketball, table tennis and virtual games. Athletic events and
other informal events like the talent night make the event even
more colourful. Every year, amidst the cool spring breeze at the
picturesque IMT-Ghaziabad, the Sports Committee of IMT-G
brings together sportsmen competing for the glory as well as
eminent personalities from the field of sports for judging the
competitions. “Chakravyuh” truly becomes a memorable
experience for everyone involved.
“Atithi Devo Bhava.” being the mantra of the Indian
civilization, the host, IMT-G, ensures that all the guests are
well cared for and are provided with in-house boarding and
lodging facilities during their period of stay so that all they focus
on during the 72 hours on campus is just sports and the
competition. Ambulance and paramedical staff are available
during the entire course of the event.
We guarantee you memories for a life-time during
“Chakravyuh”. We guarantee you 72 hours of non-stop
unadulterated fun and healthy competition.
