PURPOSE:
As the financial Accountant you will be responsible for the daily and monthly general accounting processes for up to 10 entities. .
You will perform the required accounting calculations and entries gaining an in depth understanding of workflow with a view to
standardisation and re-engineering

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To gain an in depth understanding and knowledge of the accounting tasks, accounting treatment and reporting.

2. To perform monthly the required calculations and entries for sundry accruals, inventories, prepayments and any other
general accounting as required

3. To manage monthly PO tasks including closure and accrual run

4. Responsibility for monthly fixed asset run and related entries and closure

5. To ensure that the relevant back up is provided to the Reconciliations team

6. To liaise with HEL and countries finance departments to ensure that SLAs are met and queries are resolved within 3 days
7. Production of monthly reporting as required from time to time by Manager STL / Countries HEL

8. Ad hoc projects assigned as required.

SPECIFICATIONS:
As a Financial Accountant you will ideally be ACA or ACCA part qualified (or equivalent), IATI qualified and will
possess good accounting experience ideally in a shared services environment.

You must have at least an intermediate level of competence with Excel and a good understanding of all other
packages in the Microsoft Office suite. In addition, you will also have previous experience of using an ERP system,
preferably Oracle, on a daily basis.

With your good communication skills, you will be an accurate worker who can demonstrate attention to detail and
strong organisational and time management skills – able to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
