Dear parent,

As a team, we want every student in our class to be academically

successful. Although this quarter is still in progress, we as a team
have noticed that over the previous math unit your child has
received low scores on assignments. We feel it is important that
you are aware of this.

We want to work with you to ensure that your child has a

successful year here at Chesterbrook Academy. Attached, you will
find your child’s most recent math assessment. Please review the
assessment, sign, and return to school.

Listed below are the next steps we as a team will take in order to
help your child succeed with this specific skill:
o Spiraled, continuous review of content through homework, daily
review, and centers/stations.
o Review of assessment questions in class in an engaging format.
o Discuss the assessment with students and get their feedback.
o Small group and individualized instruction and support in this skill.

Daily use of these steps will be implemented in the classroom over

the next few weeks in order to see how effective these tools are
in improving work habits.
