OPPOSITION TO THE PETITION FOR COMMISION AS NOTARY

PUBLIC

Oppositor by the undersigned attorney, and to this Honorable Court,

respectfully alleges:

1. He knows the petitioner, LOVELY L. DE LA TORRE, from their

hometown in Bacolod, Negros Occidental for the past twenty years.
2. He opposes the petition for the commission as notary public on the
following grounds:
a. The petitioner, LOVELY L. DE LA TORRE was letting herself
be called Attorney Lovely L. De La Torre in their hometown
since 2015;
b. The petitioner, LOVELY L. DE LA TORRE was acting as
notary public in their hometown in Bacolod, Negros
Occidental;
c. That LOVELY L. DE LA TORRE notarized some documents
of the oppositor in 2015 – 2016 attached as Annexes “1”-“2”;
d. That the oppositor learned of the fraud only after learning that
LOVELY L. DE LA TORRE passed the Bar only in 2017.
e. That although, the oppositor has filed no case against LOVELY
L. DE LA TORRE, his demand to return what he has paid, is
still under arbitration in the Barangay.
f. That no refund has been made.

WHEREFORE, the oppositor prays that the said petition be

disallowed.
 VERIFICATION AND CERTIFICATION

I, ABUNDIO A. BACATAN, of legal age, single, Filipino and a

resident of P.D. Monfort South, Dumangas, Iloilo under oath depose and
state that:

I am the Oppositor in the above captioned case; I have caused the

preparation of the same; I have read the allegations contained therein; and I
certify that they are all true and correct of my personal knowledge or based
on authentic records.
