ABSTRACT
Background : Learning is done both in theory and practice , both in laboratory and
in the field . Laboratory practice is done for affective and psychomotor abilities
membelajarkan . Laboratories must have a good quality to be able to facilitate
learning so that students learning motivation is high which will facilitate optimal
learning goals .
Objective : This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the perceived
quality of laboratory practice midwifery learning and motivation to learn by the
third semester of student achievement .
Methods: analytical study with cross -sectional correlation . The entire student
population of the archipelago Diamond Midwifery Academy Magetan number of
117 , while the entire research sample III semester students totaling 43 students .
Total sampling technique sampling . Data collection using questionnaires and
observation sheets . Analysis of data using multiple linear regression . Independent
variables contributing to the achievement index measured the magnitude of R2 (
coefficient of determination ) .
Results : This study shows that : (1) There is a significant and positive relationship
between the perceived quality of the learning laboratory practice midwifery with
learning achievement test results Product Moment (r) = 0.345 with a significance
of 0.023 < 0.05 ; (2) There is a relationship between motivation to learn significant
and positive relationship with learning achievement test results Product Moment (r
) = 0.394 with significance 0.009 < 0.05 ; (3) There is a relationship between the
perceived quality of simultaneously learning laboratory practice obstetrics and
motivation to learn and the learning achievement , test results F = 6.124 with
significance 0.005 < 0.05 and effective relationship variables perceived quality
laboratory practices obstetrics learning and motivation to learn the test results R2 of
23.4 % with learning achievement . This suggests that the perception of the quality
of laboratory practice midwifery learning and motivation to learn and the learning
achievement by 23.4 %, while the remaining 76.6 % influenced by other factors .
The resulting regression equation is : Y = 23.595 + 0.158 X1 + 0.584 X2 .
Conclusion : To improve the learning achievements related agencies should
augment laboratory learning facilities especially so with complete infrastructure
and good laboratory management can improve students' learning motivation .
