City, California. In 1983, she earned her
bachelor’s degree in psychology from
San Francisco State University and in
1991 she obtained a master’s degree in
counseling, also from SFSU.
Previously, she worked as a counselor
at the Treatment Research Clinic at UCSF
and at Archway and Professional Treatment, Inc. in Redwood
City. She was also development officer for Community
Hospice Foundation in San Francisco and an activity direc-
tor at Seton Medical Center and St. Francis Convalescent
Hospital in Daly City.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bill; three
children, Bill Jr., Dana and David; two grandchildren, David
Michael and Jenseena; and one great-grandson, Lukas.
“She was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.”
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at
Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel.

trained to pack all of our energy and pas-
sion for one subject into one compacted
