ABSTRACT

This action research aimed to investigate if the use of “Wh-Interrogatives” Word Table can

help Year 4 pupils to write simple sentences with correct Subject-Verb Agreement (SVA)

based on a picture stimulus. Problems in sentence construction were prominent and

noticeable in pupils’ writing tasks. Therefore, it was important to address this issue so that

pupils could master basic sentence writing skills before learning how to expand sentences.

This research was conducted on a class of 32 Year 4 pupils from a primary national school

located on Penang Island. Pre-intervention and post-intervention tasks were carried out ….

Penyelidikan tindakan ini bertujuan untuk membantu murid-murid Tahun 4 menulis ayat

dengan “Subject-Verb Agreement” (SVA) yang betul berdasarkan sebuah gambar yang

ditunjukkan dengan menggunakan “Wh-Interrogatives” Word Table yang merupakan bahan

yang dihasilkan sebagai tindakan. Masalah dalam penulisan ayat amat ketara dan senang

dijumpai dalam latihan penulisan murid-murid. ....
