Rhum-Ba Optimistic about 2018


In a statistics on serious crimes (Non-Sexual Violence Of-

ecutions (ODPP), last year there were 24 people charged
with a total of 26 counts of separate incidents in December
alone.
The offences were aggravated robbery, aggravated bur-
glary, and theft, damaging property, assault causing actual
bodily harm, disobedience of lawful order, unlawful cultiva-
tion and criminal intimidation.
Of the 24 people charged, two were police officers.
If one thing we all have in common as humans is the
desire to live in safer homes and communities. So let’s look
out for our children and for one another.

Prasad aged 17 years old who
won the Miss Teen Fiji 2017
competition held in Suva.
Meanwhile, the competi-
tion was hosted by Fiji Fash-
ion Week celebrating Ten
Years of Fashion in Paradise.
Shrea, as she is commonly
called, was born among
three siblings and raised
in Lautoka to the proud
Prasad’s family who success-
fully owns a business in Nadi.
Watching Shrea grow up
and live successfully be-
coming someone in life
is her parents dream.
“My parents advised me
to continue modelling as
part time job but to focus
more on what I want to be-
come in future,” she added.
Shrea decided to explore
into what she has been pas-
sionate about for a long
time, until it became reality.
That is where fashion
and modelling became
real for Shrea, when
she was 15 years old.
“I have a thing for fashion
and modelling from very

spearhead their prepara-
tion for the Melanisean Cup
in Papua New Guinea next
month.
Speaking to Jetsports
coach Vela Tawake said ev-

Tawake said their have

team.
He said this has really af-
fected the side in terms of its
fitness level.
“The team is still not up to
par. We are taking all this ses-

Tawake said their aim is to
win this year’s competition.

year as we have lost twice.”

Tawake said Netan is of
great assistance to the team.
He said this will really
boost the side as they pre-
pare for the competition.
