Lecturer’s Special Comment Column:
For tutorial, I expect you to attempt all the tutorial questions prior to the actual tutorial session. The tutorial sessions are meant for
discussion to guide you towards solutions, and not sessions for you to copy the solutions only. Please bring a copy of the tutorial questions
and your solutions to the class so that you may compare with the sample solutions. This will make you less confused during th e discussion.

For lab, please note down your lab group and experiment date. The lab sheets were uploaded for you to print and read them before
your lab date. Please take note that the students have to submit the lab report to the respective lab supervisor once the lab session ended. The
lab contributes to 10% of the total coursework marks. Replacement of lab only be considered for cases with valid reason such as MC. We
will not consider any cases that occurred out of irresponsible behavior. Please be responsible.

Finally, I would like to remind you that the attendance for lectures, tutorials and labs will be counted. It is your responsibility to m ake
sure that your attendance for all lectures, and tutorials is at least 80% to be able to sit for the final exam.

Revised condition for passing a subject

From this trimester onwards the condition for passing a subject will be as follows:

PASS status for a subject will be granted if a student passes the summative assessment (i.e. final exam) AND the overall asse ssment.
The passing threshold for the summative assessment is 40% while 50% is the overall passing threshold.
