1) IP Address

Right click on the “My Network Places”. This will open “Local Area Connection. Right click and
select the properties.

This will open Local Area Connection properties.

Select last option Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click on it and open Properties.

For Windows Vista/ Window7 /Windows8 /Windows 10

Click on Control Panel – Network and sharing Enter


Click on Manage Network Connection

Click on (TCP/IPv4)

Type your IP address according to your Block No and Room No: (Refer IP Table given below).

Provide the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, preferred DNS Server, Alternate DNS
Server as per the scheme below.Click OK to save and exit from this screen

Note: * = Roll No,

For eg. If you are in A block, Room No. 15 then your IP address will be 172.17.21.15.
Subnet, Gateway, DNS and Alternate DNS will remain same.

Note: If you change your room, immediately change your IP address otherwise it will conflict with
other PC’s IP Address.

Workgroup Setting

1. Right Click on MyComputer.


2. Click on Properties.
3. Click on Computer Name Tab.
4. Click on Change Button.
5. Type RollNo. (eg. p30001) as your Computer Name.
6. Type BatchNo. (eg. PRM30) as your Work Group.
7. Reboot Your Computer

2) Cyberoam Client Installation

Copy CyberoamClientInstallation.exe to you desktop.Double click to run the setup programme.

Give your user name and password to login to cyberoam. Password is case sensitive.

3) Installation of Network Printer

A. Windows XP Professional

Open internet explorer and type the URLhttp://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp

Click on Install iPrint Client.

Click on Run.

Click on Run and follow the onscreen instructions.

After installation click on the block name to install the printer. Before installing printer make sure
you are logged into the Novell Server.

B. Windows Vista

1. Click IRMA Software and Guideline.


2. ClickMicrosoft Windows Vista patch folder
3. Copy either 386 or x64 folder in your hard-disk depending on your system type 32 bit
Operating System or 64 bit Operating System.
4. Install both patch

Now Restart the PC

5. Now Run Internet Explorer as Run as administrator

7. Select Install printer

10. Now Run http://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp


11. Select the printer which you need

13. Now Enter your Novell login Username and Password

Now install the printer select yes

C. For windows 7/8/10

1. Internet Explorer Run as an administrator as per above


2. Now Run http://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp
3. Select the printer which you need
4. Now Run activex control in popup bar
5. Now Enter your Novell login Username and Password

Now first Install Novell Iprint after compeleting installation of iprint then again go to first step and
Type
https://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp

Then select priter which you need .

4) Antivirus Installation
a. Uninstall any existing Antivirus software
b. Type\\172.16.0.13 in the Start  Run
c. User Name : irma
d. Password : irma

Select remember my password option.

Click IRMA Software and Guideline and install eScan_Client

Server will automatically update the virus definitions.

By default your user account is disabled. It will be activated after successful installation of
Antivirus. After installing antivirus call Computer Center (Ext. 678,677,676, 679). If your
computer name will appears on our server we will activate your account.

5) Novell Client Installation

Note :Please Remember your user AccoutName of Local System because after Novell Client
Installation , you will need it to login in your Local System . (See C:\users\ for list of users
before installing Novell).

Copy Novell Client 4.91 SP5 English.zip file to your computer’s desktop. Double click to extract the
files. This will create directory in your computer’s C drive with directory name as Novell. Open this
directory and run setupnw.exe. This will start Novell Client Installation wizard.

Choose Typical Installation and click on Install.

This will install Novell client on your PC.

Reboot the PC after installation

After Reboot, Click on Switch user or Computer Only Login Enter Your User Accout Name

Now Right Click On Novell Client for windows screen(N)

Expand the Advanced tab. Enter following entries against each.


Tree: IRMANET
Context: STDN.IRMA
Server: STDNBLADE.IRMA.AC.IN
Enter your User id and Password to login to the server

Click on the My Computer and there are three drives mapped to the server. Q (User on stdnblade)
drive is your home directory where you can store your important data and Z drive (data on
stdnblade) is a common place where faculty keeps their teaching material and Y drive other shared
common Resources Managed by students

6) Mail

Open IRMA website. http://www.irma.ac.in and click on the IRMANet Services

Select Mail option

POP access is disabled by default.


Here's how to enable POP in Gmail:
1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click the gear in the top right.
3. Select Settings.
4. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
5. Select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on.
6. Choose what to do with your messages after your POP client or device receives them.
7. Click Save Changes.
Although the radio button next to your selected option may not stay selected, Gmail displays the status next to
'POP Status:.' When you enable POP, your settings display 'POP Status: POP is enabled.'
If your POP settings are turned off, the status will indicate that POP is disabled.

Outlook
1. Open Outlook
2. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts or Account Settings...
3. On the E-mail tab, click New...
4. If you are prompted to Choose E-mail Service, select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and
click Next.
5. Use the information below to configure POP with your mail client.

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires SSL: smtp.gmail.com

Server timeouts Greater than 1 minute, we recommend 5

Full Name or Display Name: [your name]

Account Name or User Name: your full email address (@irma.ac.in)

Email Address: your email address (username@irma.ac.in)

Password: your Gmail password

You configure both accounts from old server and new server in outlook. Later on drag and drop emails from old
account to new account in outlook.

7) Installation of Prowess
a) Type \\172.16.0.13in the Start  Run
b) User Name : irma
c) Password : irma
d) Click on IRMA Software and Guidlines>Prowess> Click on prowessiq_setup
e) You need to Register in https://prowess.cmie.com website for Accessing Prowess
