PTC License Server: FlexNet Publisher

PTC supports Flexera Software’s FlexNet Publisher as its licensing provider.

PTC currently supports the FlexNet Publisher License Server using both the license manager lmgrd
and lmadmin. The following table outlines the supported FlexNet version and license manager, the
supported platforms and supported operating systems.

Notes:
1. Installer downloads include a full install (setup) package. Zip images include only the daemon
files necessary to run FlexNet
3. RHEL Linux is supported on HP Intel and Sun AMD platforms.
4. For the official PTC install guides please visit the PTC Reference Documents page.
5. PTC recommends that customers on Windows XP move to Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or
Windows 10 as soon as possible to ensure continued support.
6. Lmadmin shipped with 11.11.1 will report version 11.12.1 due to recent security fixes.

Deploying License Servers on Virtualized Environments

 While PTC does NOT certify the license servers on Virtualized Environments, the license
servers can be deployed on a Virtualized Environment supported by Flexera. In such
cases, PTC support will be limited to issues which can be reproduced on a non-virtualized
desktop/server.
 List of Virtualized Environments supported by Flexera can be found here.
 Licenser Servers should be deployed in a manner consistent with PTC’s Licensing Basis.
