The parking system of Pagadian City is quit a worry to the people. There always find

difficulty about the traffic especially on the highways of Pagadian City. Drivers park their

vehicles on every side lines on the highways that causes problem on the traffic management of

the city. Vehicles on the lanes occupies a wide range of space commuters find it hard to pass

through a long parade of vehicles because of the small space that they get from the parking

cars. Some establishment does not have enough parking areas that can offer to their

customers in this situation it can be the reason why some drivers/customers of the specific

establishment park on the side lanes not mentioning on what problem it could cause to other

people. Since pagadian city have been visited by many people, so the increase of the

population of vehicles are high. And that is the reason why the city cannot accommodate the

entire city has lack of parking areas especially on the establishment itself, they do not have

enough area for that would cater all vehicles of their customers. Possible solution that would

help the people of Pagadian City the implementation of proper parking and the parallel

parking, these will help in organizing the traffic management of the city.

the streets. In this regulation it can help to lessen the traffic that happened in the city and also to prevent

accidents. One of the reason why some owners park their vehicles in the street because there is no parking area

to accommodate all the vehicles that came from other municipalities. Parking area is one of the factors that

affect this problem, if the local officials can provide a space for the parking area it can really help the current

problem in the city. And the factor is the indiscipline drivers because even though they know already that the

certain area is not for parking area they still parks their vehicles without thinking that can cause a chaos in the

street that will leads into accidents. To solve this parking problem, the local governments needs to develop
parking zone. There is a need of application that could let the people know where to park their vehicles before

hand to avoid the traffic congestion.

According to the administration of Pagadian City traffic management that it is just a simple road rules.

Roads are design as carriage way not as parking. It is just the enforcers tolerance not to apprehend and it is the

reason why that there is no sign or market for parking at side of the road. They only allocate parking if a

shoulder is available on a road side or declaring a one way road where left side in accordance to traffic flow

serve as shoulder. Diagonal parking is obstruction. Parking loading or unloading rules says in parallel nearest to

the curve and in order to the flow of traffic.

Hypothesis

Parking is one of the major problems that is created by the increasing road traffic. It is an impact of

transport development. The availability of less space in urban areas has increased the demand for parking space

especially in areas like Pagadian City. This effect the mode also this has a great economical impact before

talking any measure for the betterment of conditions, data, regarding availability of parking space, extent of its

usage and parking demand is essential.

 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The essence of this study is to let the drivers or the owner of the vehicle to be aware of this regulation

for them to be knowledgeable enough and be guided about the rules that has been implemented.

Drivers should be informed about the parking policies so that they will not pay any sanctions. Because

of this, people can benefit since it can lessen the cause if traffic in the city. As it is believe, that this regulation

can improve and enhance the flow of the road to have a smooth sailing road trip.

It can help to avoid accidents that will happen in the street can there’s no disturbance, by the help of this

regulations.
