I would like to apply for a position of Manager of Department of academic activities in PE
“Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education”. I learned about this position from
Facebook.
I am currently on paternity leave looking after my little daughter. But will be able to start work
any time soon. I have completed a Higher Education Master’s program at Pennsylvania State
University in May, 2017. As the key and functional tasks of this position highly fits my interest
and field of study, it is a great opportunity for professional development, allowing me to
demonstrate and strengthen my knowledge and skills in the field as well as giving me further
exposure that I need to advance my career.
In the past, I worked as an educator in high school for 3 years, where my responsibilities in the
position enhanced my skills in teaching, managing class, communicating with parents, and
organizing various events within the school. At the period of pursuing my Master’s degree, I
completed a program called Foundations in Global Engagement, which allowed me actively
participated in university life. Apart from that, I had an internship in in World Campus Student
Affairs Unit, where I worked on assessing projects organized for online students. To that extent,
I believe that my experience and skills in the education field, pursuing Master’s degree in higher
education, knowing several languages fluently and being user-friendly with technology will be a
useful resource for your department. I am practical, responsible, persistent, and possess the
ability to learn quickly. I feel these skills and experiences would be a strong addition to the
position and am excited about the prospect of putting them to work for you.
