quality Primary and Public Health Care Services are provided to all Residents of The Bahamas,
through appropriate and available modern technology and a multi-disciplinary team of
qualified, caring compassionate and committed health care professionals utilizing community
resources.

Overview of Health Services Provided by the
South Beach Health Center
The South Beach Health Center opened its doors to the public in January 2002. Prior to this
opening persons residing in the South Beach District were required to seek care at Elizabeth
Estates Clinic, Flamingo Gardens Clinic or the Princess Margaret Hospital.
Referred to as the ―Flag Ship‖ of the Primary Health Care Clinics in New Providence, the South
Beach Health Centre offers a complete package of Primary Health Care Services inclusive of
diagnostic services.
The Clinic District which is bounded on the north by the Independence Drive and the East West
Highway; on the south by the South Beach Sea, on the west by Blue Hill Road and on the east
by Abundance Life and Soldier Roads, Windsor Place, Pinewood Gardens and Sir Lynden
Pindling Subdivision.
To ensure equitable access to clinic and home care services the clinic services are further divided
into four (4) areas with a team of Nurses and Physicians.
 District 1 - Provides home care services to residents living in Soldier Road east and
west and the southern area of Windsor Place.
 District 2 - Provides home care services to residents in the south Beach and, Bamboo
Town areas.
 District 3 - Provides home care services to residents in the East Street and surrounding
areas and
 District 4 - Pinewood Gardens areas
In addition to the above, the National Postnatal Services is headquartered in the South Beach
Health Center, and provides home care services for the entire Island of New Providence.
Staffing - A total of 82+ Health Care Workers are posted at this facility comprising Health
Administrators, Physicians, Nurses, Laboratory Technologists and Technicians, Pharmacists and
Technicians, Health Educators, Clerical and other Support Staff.
