Grammar : Adjectives of Colour, Size and Shape
LEARNING 1. To list out the required adjectives.
OBJECTIVES
SUCCESSFUL Pupils should be able to :
CRITERIA  identify adjectives in the text read.
 list and classify adjectives in bubble map.
ACTIVITIES

SET INDUCTION : 1. Pupils respond and give adjectives to the items shown by the teacher in front of
the class.
2. Teacher explains the LO and SC of the lesson.

ACTIVITIES : 3. Teacher explains on the topic.


4. Pupils move from one station to another around the class to jot down as many
adjectives they can to different type of adjectives as required in each station.
5. Pupils can comment to the list by adding new adjectives or cancelling wrong ones.

6. Pupils get back to their seats and write out the adjectives accordingly. ( Bubble
maps)
7. Pupils copy the adjectives into exercise book.

Comprehension 1
LEARNING 1. To read and discuss the idea of the text provided.
OBJECTIVES
SUCCESSFUL Pupils should be able to :
CRITERIA  read aloud the text with correct pronunciation.
 mind map the idea of each paragraph.
 answer comprehension questions given.
ACTIVITIES

SET INDUCTION : 1. Pupils respond to teacher’s question about extreme sports.


2. Teacher explains the LO and SC of the lesson.

ACTIVITIES : 3. Pupils are given text to be pasted in comprehension book.


4. Selected students read aloud the text and teacher supervise the pronunciation.
5. In groups, pupils use bubble map to write the idea of the paragraphs.

6. Pupils share the ideas to the class and teacher add to the explanation.
7. Based on comprehension questions given, pupils are to be seated into groups of
five.
8. Pupils answer the questions and pass the answer to a group member who reads
the answer and adds a further idea if needed.
9. Answers rotate around the group until the end signal is given. (Share-N-Turns)
10. Teacher discuss the answers to the class.
11. Pupils write the answers in comprehension exercise book.

REFLECTION 15/29 pupils are able to read with good pronunciation but teacher needed to assist
especially on some difficult words in the text. During the discussion teacher
explained the general idea and pupils managed to get the idea and mind map them.
Almost all comprehension questions correctly answered, teacher corrected the
grammar of the answers given.

 construct five sentences using adjectives learnt.

Grammar : Verb To Be and Verb To Have
LEARNING 1. To identify the verbs learnt and to use the verbs correctly.
OBJECTIVES
SUCCESSFUL Pupils should be able to :
CRITERIA  identify the verbs learnt in the sentences given.
 fill in the blanks with the correct verbs.

ACTIVITIES

SET INDUCTION : 1. Teacher writes some examples on the board. Pupils are to guess the verbs.
2. Teacher explains the LO and SC of the lesson.

ACTIVITIES : 3. Teacher explains on the topic.


4. Pupils will make ‘tooot’ sounds when they hear the verbs used in the sentences
read by the teacher.
5. Pair work – pupils fill in the blanks with the correct verbs learnt.
6. Pupils are to write the answers on the white board. Pupils will clap twice if the
answer is correct and pupils will say ‘zzzz’ if the answer is incorrect.
