Corruption in Ecuador

Hook: Corruption is the greatest threat to governments, politics, business and
democracy and our country, Ecuador, has not escaped this phenomenon.
Background: Deterioration of ethical and moral values, low index of political culture and
education in general, and the scarce citizen participation in Ecuadorian public life that
serves as a control has made politicians steal shamelessly in this country.

Thesis statement:
Corruption is the act through which a public official violates the rules of the prevailing
legal system, to favor particular or group interests in exchange for a benefit or reward
for himself or for third parties, synonymous with abuse, disorder, bribery, seduction,
depravity, bribery, bribery or embezzlement.

Topic sentence 1:
The duties and responsibilities of Ecuadorians and Ecuadorians, without prejudice to

distorting element of the emerging democracies of our continent.
