THE DESCRIPTION OF STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE OF LIQUOR CLASS VIII
SMPN 2 CIPONGKOR DISTRICT IN WEST BANDUNG
ABSTRACT
Background: Adolescence is a period of psychological transition from childhood
to adulthood. In this evolving nature of adolescence, attitudes and behavior that always want to know, want to feel and want to try. Sometimes teenagers misrepresented identity so caught up in promiscuity mainly trapped in the use of liquor, factors other than curiosity to try, environmental or social factors may also influence adolescent curiosity about liquor, also influence physiological changes may affect the use of liquor during adolescents. During the year 2009, there were 775,000 lives have been lost in the world due to alcohol. That figure is equal to 5.3% of the total number of deaths worldwide. The report also mentions a number of 3.19 million people are currently in critical condition with the same case. Alcoholic beverages other than danger to the health of adolescent body, also negatively impacting his school years, his tenure if he is already working, living, family and friends of his. Purpose: To determine Overview Knowledge Eighth Grade Students About Alcohol in SMP 2 Bandung Regency West Cipongkor Research Methods: This study used a descriptive method. Sampling technique in this study conducted in a "simple random sampling" with a sample of 68 respondents, by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using univariate. Results of the study: The results of this study showed that 68 respondents who had knowledge of the liquor as much as 6 respondents (8.8%) both knowledgeable, whereas less knowledgeable were 38 respondents (55.9%), and were knowledgeable enough as many as 24 respondents (35.3%). Conclusion: From the results of a study of 68 respondents with respect to the description of Knowledge Students of class VIII on Liquor in SMP 2 Cipongkor West Bandung regency, then in general it was concluded that the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Bandung Regency West Cipongkor the number of respondents 68 respondents, have less knowledge of as many as 38 respondents(55.9%).
