What is Lines of Force?
Auroville has 4 major zones; Cultural zone, Economic zone,
International zone & Residential zone. Lines of Force are mixed use
developments in between two zones providing housing, services & office
spaces for the neighborhood. Its design is based on the concept
decentralization and localization.

Brief:
The project involves design of Lines of Force between economic zone
and cultural zone. The design involves understanding of interaction
between residential, commercial, office spaces & local culture.
The development has to cater the needs of Aurovillians, new-comers,
volunteers & tourists. The design provides scope for

Restrictions of lines of force
 Continuous development with porosity to allow traffic
between the zones
 Storey height should vary from 8 to 1 (Crown to Green
belt)

Why a Jungle resort?


In the present modern world, men lead a tedious mechanized life-style
living inside a concrete jungle. This, Jungle resort would help people to be
free from chains anchoring them down. They could experience about living
with only with their friends without any technological interventions.
Activities like permaculture, trekking, camping outside, having barbeque
alongside river, and fishing can add upto their experiences. They would
know what it means to prepare their own ingredients and cook their own
food & how each of their actions would have a diverse effect on the eco-
system. For instance, it can as small as littering the place with plastic bags.

Brief:
The design project involves analysis and understanding of local eco-
system. Design Intervention should be, as much as possible to be kept at
minimum. It’s about creating an environment where both men and nature
can interact harmoniously. It also involves research about methods and
techniques to enhance user’s experience, exosing them to a new world
through-out their stay.

Introduction:
Proposal for a 200 to 250 bed hospital in Auroville for projected
population of 50,000 in near future. At present people have to travel 28 to
35 km to a nearby hospital. When the population reaches 50,000 it would be
practicle to establish a dedicated specialty hospital. Also, Auroville attracts
thousands of international and local tourists which adds upto another
reason.

Brief:
Hospital is not only a place to patch up your wounded body to normal, but
it’s a place which should also heal your mind and guide you to good habits.
It should also act as healing space catering to both physical and
phsycological needs of the patient.

Objective:
 To provide a built environment healed by nature to cater to the
physical and psychological needs of the patients
 To create an environment in which children need not fear to receive
treatment
 To create awareness and educate people on baby care and growth
