The subject of this SCR are steel bracket that support vertical pipes in Elevated Tank bldg. Prior
to MEP instructions, it is adopted one steel bracket per each pipe of 6 meter length.
Movement of the pipe will be apsorbed by pipe joint connections it self, so the steel support can
be adopted as rigid bracket that carry the pipe load.
Beside the dead load, it is required that support be checked against seismic force.
Since the Elevated tank walls are already casted connection between steel supports and tunnel
walls are adopted as postdrilled anchor connections.
Design criteria for the steel structure is AISC ASD
Design criteria for the seismic force is UBC 1997 vol 2, section 1632

Please note that site work for Eleveted Tank is in progress and approve these calculations for
our future actions.
