Sensor alarms
Dry contact alarms
All external alarms would be patched on EMUB board, which is installed at all sites:
Firstly, power on the EMU board by connecting the DC power cable with DCDU:
Now, connect the RS-485 serial port of EMU with MON-0 port of UPEU as per following diagram:
After the BBU is powered up and connected with BBU, we are ready to patch alarms on EMU as per below
mentioned diagram:
The dry contact alarms can be patched on the slots S1 to S32 of EMUB:
We would be using the EMUB ports for dry contact alarms in accordance with the following table:
Use two separate CAT-6 cables for upper and below patched alarms on EMUB. Following is an
example of dry contact alarm patching on EMUB:
Connect the other end of alarm cables at slot S1, S2 & S3 on the Wi-Tribe ELTEK Rectifier Unit as
per blow mentioned table:
Use CAT-6 cable for connectivity between EMUB and Eltek Recifier, while following the below
mentioned color code:
Connect the other end of alarm cables at slot S5, S6 & S7 on the Wi-Tribe BCU as per blow
mentioned table:
Use CAT-6 cable for connectivity between EMUB and Wi-Tribe BTS, while following the below
mentioned color code:
Use the following MML command to configure the sensor alarms on Huawei BTS 3900:
ADD EMU:MPN=0,SAAF=48V_DISABLE-1,SBAF=IS_DISABLE-1&GS_DISABLE-1;
Use the following MML command to configure the dry contact alarms on Huawei BTS 3900:
SET ALMPORT:CN=0,SRN=40,SN=0,PN=X,SW=ON,AID=XXXXX,PT=BOOL,AVOL=HIGH
Where Port Number can vary from 0 to 39 and Alarm ID can vary from 65033 to 65233.
