Culture of a Country

India

Throughout the history of India, Indian culture has been heavily influenced by Dharmic religions.
They have been credited with shaping much of Indian philosophy, literature, architecture, art and music.
Greater India was the historical extent of Indian culture beyond the Indian subcontinent. This particularly
concerns the spread of Hinduism, Buddhism, architecture, administration and writing system from India
to other parts of Asia through the Silk Road by the travellers and maritime traders during the early
centuries of the Common Era.

Iran

Iranian art has gone through numerous phases. The unique aesthetics of Iran is evident from the
Achaemenid reliefs in Persepolis to the mosaic paintings of Bishapur. The Islamic era brought drastic
changes to the styles and practice of the arts, each dynasty with its own particular foci. The Qajarid era
was the last stage of classical Persian art, before modernism was imported and suffused into elements of
traditionalist schools of aesthetics.

South Korea

South Korea has historically been influenced by China, and in recent years by the Western world,
particularly the United States. The influence of Western culture and rapid modernization has changed
peoples' eating habits as well; many people now enjoy Western and other Asian foods in addition to
traditional Korean food. Pizza is one of the favorite foreign foods among South Koreans, though it tends
to differ from the pizza served in the west, often featuring corn, sweet potato, mayonnaise, bulgogi and
various other ingredients.

Syria

Syrians are also well known for their cheese. The very popular string cheese jibbneh mashallale is
made of curd cheese and is pulled and twisted together. Syrians also make cookies/biscuits to usually
accompany their cheese called ka'ak. These are made of farina and other ingredients, rolled out, shaped
into rings and baked. Another form of a similar cookie is filled with crushed dates mixed with butter, to
accompany jibbneh mashallale.

Drinks in Syria vary depending on the time of day and the occasion. Arabic coffee, also known as
Turkish coffee is the most well-known hot drink usually prepared in the morning at breakfast or in the
evening. It is usually served for guests or after food. Arak, an alcoholic drink, is also a well-known
beverage served mostly on special occasions. More examples of Syrian beverages include Ayran, Jallab,
White coffee, and a locally manufactured beer called Al Shark.

Indonesia

Indonesian dance reflects the diversity of culture from ethnic groups that composed the nation of
Indonesia. Austronesian roots and Melanesian tribal dance forms are visible, and influences ranging from
neighbouring Asian countries; such as India, China, and Middle East to European western styles through
colonization. Each ethnic group has their own distinct dances; makes total dances in Indonesia are more
than 3000 Indonesian original dances. However, the dances of Indonesia can be divided into three eras;
the Prehistoric Era, the Hindu/Buddhist Era and the Era of Islam, and into two genres; court dance and
folk dance.
