2.3 SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of Lakhani’s La Riveria project is to provide affordable homes with
mordern amenities making it an all-round package for a customer. Also focusing on
a project location, Lakhani La Riveria is a Riverside project offering serenity &
nature’s embrace with its apartments strategically located in heart of Panvel city.
The Project intends to focus on:
Using high and good quality materials and equipment which are highly
maintained and taken care off.

Reducing the wastage of the project while execution thus saving the overall
execution cost.

A belief of doing the work – “First time correct” because rectifications are
possible but a quite costly in execution.

All round time saving by proper coordinated approach with other contractors in
order to maintain the time schedule of the project.

A safer approach for all the execution activities, keeping in view of all the
labourers and the site engineers.

A dedicated system of working which bring utmost transparency and high


efficiency in work.

The project highly focuses on – Quality, Cost, Time, the three most important
parameters of a project.

Working with high class and quality keeping in view the schedule time, saves a
lot of Cost of execution thus making the overall project a SUCCESS.
A site which fully secured 24*7, making the labourer and the materials safe all
the time.

Also, focuses on a proper flow of command and decision making which makes it
easier for a contractor to work without any confusion.

2.6 INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES AT SITE

2.7.1 SITE OFFICE


 Site office of contractor is available near the client office.
 Office for engineers is provided to study the drawing.
 Facilitate with attached toilet and wash room.

2.7.2LABOUR COLONY
 Labour colony is located on site.
 The Labour colonies provide accommodation for more than 150 labours.
 It is facilitate with common bathroom and toilets.

2.7.3 WATER SUPPLY


 Water is made available on site by tube well.

2.7.4ELECTRICITY
 Towers are erected to provide light through halogen bulbs for work to be
carried out at night.
 Electricity connection is provided by Gujarat electricity board
 Electric bill of the 2 month is around 80,000-90,000rs

2.7.5 STOREROOM
 All required materials and tools other than major construction materials are
stored in storeroom and they are issued as per requirement.
 Store room is available near the contractor office.

2.7.6 MEDICAL FACILITY


 First aid box always present at site for an emergency.

2.7.7 QUALITY CONTROL


 Regular concrete block test are done using compression testing machine.
 Quality of works is given primary significance for this project.
 To ensure quality of works method statements for all construction activities
are prepared and various checklists are designed to monitor the quality of
construction at every stage.
 Various tests are also carried out at site.

2.7.8 SAFETY MANAGEMENTS


 Safety Net: Safety nets are provided on extreme boundary of building, where
the work of reinforcement, formwork or concreting of extreme outer portion
is going on.
 Helmet for Staff: Helmets provided to all staff member. It was of white colour
for staff only.
 Helmet for Mechanic: Mechanics are provided helmets of Blue colour.
 Helmet for Electrician: Electricians are provided helmets of Red colour.
 Helmet for Workers: Workers are provided helmet of yellow colour.
 Helmet for Visitors: Visitors are provided helmets of white colour.
 Safety Shoe: All staff members and workers also provided safety shoes. They
are acid and oil resistant. Even they prevent slipping off on wet surface,
green concrete, etc. They also reduce accident due to steel bars or any other
sharp material on site.
 Safety Goggles: Safety goggles are provided to bar cutter, welder and the
workers working on concrete batching plant.
 Hand Gloves: Hand gloves are provided to workers working on concreting
and oiling on formwork
