The working conditions are typically in threatening environments and having a job as a military police
officer comes with many risk factors including being seriously injured or killed in the line of duty. It is a
dangerous profession but extremely vital for the safety of citizens--domestic and international.

The nature of this work is to uphold the responsibility for policing the areas of of the armed forces
against all criminal activity by military or civilian personnel.

They maintain order and law, they perform Police intelligence operations, they maintain area security
posts and ​security operations​, they act as resettlement and interment officers in various operations,
and they act as support for mobility operations.

The need for intel will definitely increase in terms of cybersecurity and the upcoming advancements of
technology.

job?
The working conditions vary depending on activity. For example, trying to get information from a
terrorist can be dangerous if they are not detained, yet securing cyber networks would not be
considered anywhere near as risky as the first activity.

The nature of this work is to ​engage in counter intelligence in order to identify and de-escalate the
threat of hostile combatants and intelligence organizations.

Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Specialists go undercover to find information that is
helpful to their fellow Marines as well as can save the lives of Americans overseas and at home.
​The Marine Corps Intelligence Community is a unique group of Marines who work closely with other
Intelligence assets in the field. As a Human Intelligence Specialist you can also be tasked to retrieve
information for the CIA or other government organizations.

Marines must pass an interview to become recommended to join the MOS 0211 by a screening board
of CI/HUMINT personnel as well as a polygraph test. ASVAB scores must also be high. Applicants
must possess a GT score of 110 or higher. Must be a U.S. citizen and also 21 years of age.
 
5. What education is needed and training?
-​Marines will be assigned to a Marine expeditionary force and a pre-resident training course in Dam
Neck, Virginia, that covers the required knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitude needed for successful
completion of the MOS school. As for education cybersecurity, criminal psychology, international
relations and counterterrorism are all good subjects to study for this type of career. Analytical skills
are also beneficial.

-For this career NROTC is required and bootcamp in Parris Island. Training would continue in
Camp Lejune, North Caroline.

-The employers are the infantry officers.

-In the military: Army and Marine Corps.

The need for riflemen will most likely stay the same since we not only have an abundance of
weaponry but also many highly trained individuals.

9. What are the working conditions? What are some of the hazards or disadvantages (i.e. health
risks, moving to other locations for advancement, temporary or seasonal employment, etc.) of the
job?
The working conditions are extremely risky. A rifleman is usually put on the front lines of duty,
meaning that they come into direct contact with enemies and are risking their life with every move
they make.

The nature of this work is simply to get rid of the enemy with gunfire.
