I Believe That School Environment Can Influence People’s Personalities And Behaviors

You probably find out that people may judge and know people by where they come

from or where they grow up. Does it mean that people’s characters can be influenced by

environment? School environment can influence a person’s personality and behaviors. A

person might be influenced by the relationships with classmates, teachers’ teaching methods

and school policies.

When I was in primary school, I was being isolated because I was shy. My grades was

not outstanding and I was talkative, so that I barely had good relationships with classmates.

The bad relationships made me struggle and prefer to be alone. In addition, I was scared of

boys because they liked to trick on me. But something changed when I went into middle

school, my grade was on the top part and I made some really good friends which led me have

good relationships with everyone in the class and be more talkative than before. However, I

was still a shy person who only talk to the people I know in my class and afraid of talking to

boys. The relationship with classmates can built people’s personalities and change people’s

behaviors.

As I grow older, I find out that the people around me get more different from me. My

first school is kindergarten, everyone’s characters might looks different, some are quiet and

some are energetic. But few years later, when I entered middle school, people are more

different. The way everyone behave are different because every teacher has his way to teach

and has different opinions to pass on. My teachers taught me that students need to listen to

the teacher and respect teachers, so I looked more quiet than other people in the class and

have a good temper. I was confused when the first time I found out that some my middle

school classmates barely listen to the teachers and some like to discuss with teachers instead

of only listen to teachers. The most interesting thing is that my friends that are from same

primary school or kindergarten like to listen to teachers, some other classmates who from the

same school before would also behave similar. The teacher’s teaching methods and their

opinion can affect students strongly, especially for early-age students.

In Chna, I entered a strict and good-grade school, but my friend entered an normal

school. My school required students doing very good grade, which means we need lots of

time to study. The school time is from 7:15 am to 10:10 pm in workdays and from 7:15 am to

5pm on Saturday. There were tons of homeworks for us to do instead of enjoy the high school

life. As a result, I treat my work more strict and have higher requirements for my works.

Long time studying in school also made me have the habit that prefer doing work at school.

In opposite, my friend’s school doesn’t have lots of rule and the study time are shorter than

mine too, which means she can be easier with her works and do the thing she wants. School

policies can affect the way students treat their works and some habits in the life.

Everyone has different characters and behaviors because they have different

experiences. Personalities are built by the environment such as parents, friends, teachers and

society gradually, the school environments contain most of them and it built people’s

personalities before they are shaped completely.
