Format: This meet is only open to swimmers 14 years old and under. This is a Novelty Meet where
swimmers 14 & U can compete in selected events against swimmers of their same age. There will
be a Positive Check-in, for both sessions, which will close 20 min after the start of warm-ups.
SESSION SCHEDULE
* Approximate times: Warm-ups will begin immediately after the conclusion of the morning session, but not
before Noon. Positive Check-In will close 20 minutes after the start of warm-ups. The meet will begin 1
hour after the start of warm-ups.
Facility: Wayne R. Bottoni Natatorium. Six lanes, 25 meters, with non-turbulent lane lines. Permanent
starting blocks into 12 foot deep end. Pool Depth at turn end is 3’ 6”. RELAY STARTS (for 100
free and medley relays): The 2nd and 4th relay swimmers will start in the water. Swimmers in the
25 meter events may start in the water. Fully electronic timing system (Colorado 5), with a six-lane
readout. Seating capacity for 400. Meet will be run using Hy-Tek Meet Manager.
Rules and All USA Swimming, Inc. and ISI rules apply, including safety rules, which will be strictly enforced.
Safety: ISI warm-up procedures are included with this meet information.
Eligibility: Eligibility to swim in this meet is open to all swimmers who are registered with USA Swimming, Inc.
All swimmers must be registered prior to the entry deadline. Entries listed as “Registration applied
for” will not be accepted. Registration forms may be obtained from ISI: 3166 S. River Road Suite
30. Des Plaines, IL 60018. Phone (847) 824-1596, Fax (847) 824-1726. A swimmer’s age for the
meet will be his/her age as of February 2, 2008.
Membership: Insurance regulations require that all swimmers, coaches, judges, starters and referees be
members of USA Swimming, Inc. It is each club’s responsibility to register their swimmers,
coaches and officials. Swimmers, coaches and officials who are not members of USA Swimming,
Inc., may not participate or be on deck.
Coaches: Coaches must be current members of USA Swimming, Inc. to be allowed on deck, and must
display their current registration card at all times.
Entry Deadline: Entries will not be accepted by the Entry Chairperson before 8:00 AM (CST) on Tuesday ,
January 8, 2008. Entries will be accepted in the order received until the 4 hour time limit per
session is met. Thereafter, entries shall be returned promptly to the swimmer or team. Entries
must be received by the Entry Chairperson no later than 5:00 PM (CST) on Friday, January
25, 2008. There will be no upgrade of time allowed. All entries should be submitted as Hy-Tek
Commlink II files. Entries may be mailed using a 3.5 in disk or e-mailed in .zip format. Faxed
entries will not be accepted. There are no entry forms. A hard copy of the entry, together with the
signed Summary of Entries/Release Form and Fee Payment check, should be received by the
entry chair within 72 hours of the entry deadline. Checks should be payable to MMSC. Teams
not accepted into the meet will be notified within 48 hours of the entry deadline.
Entry
Requirements: Swimmers may enter up to four (4) individual events and two (2) relays. Only swimmers 14 years
old and younger as of February 10, 2007 are allowed to enter the meet.
Seeding: All events will be timed finals, seeded slowest to fastest. For seeding purposes, please submit
/Times short course meter times. Converted times are acceptable.
Entry Fees: The entry fee for all swimmers will be $3.00 per individual event, $7.00 per relay, plus a $2.00 per
swimmer ISI surcharge.
Check-in: This is a positive check-in meet. Positive check-in will close 20 minutes after the scheduled start of
warm-ups. Swimmers not checking in will be scratched from that session.
Relays: Swimmers competing in relays must be entered in at least one individual event. Relay cards will be
distributed within coaches’ packets at the start of the meet. Please fill out and return relay cards by
one hour after the start of the session.

Awards: Ribbons will be awarded for 1 – 6 place in each individual event, and 1 – 3 place in relay
events. In addition, the top three swimmers (based on points from individual events only) in age
groups 6 & U, 7, 8, 9,10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 will also receive trophies. Awards may be picked up by
the coach, or a nominated representative within 15 minutes of the end of each session.
Admissions: The admission charge for all spectators over the age of 15 will be $2.00. Psyche sheets for the
entire meet will be available at the door, priced at $3.00.
Concessions: Food and drink will be available from the concession stand during the meet. Food is not allowed on
deck, but swimmers may bring water bottles and/or sports drinks on deck. No glass containers are
permitted on deck.
Meet Results: A copy of the Final Results will be provided to each participating team in the same format that their
entry was received. In addition, a hard copy of the Final Results will be posted on the website no
later than the day following the meet.
Timers: Each team is required to provide timers for one lane for the complete meet. Timing assignments
will be posted in several places around the deck and the concession area.
Officials: There will be a need for officials to help this meet run smoothly. If possible, each team should
provide at least one stroke and turn judge for each session. Any assistance that can be provided
with starting or refereeing will also be greatly appreciated.
