Minutes

1.0 Opening of Annual General Meeting

1.1 The Chairman Mr. Vincent Ho announced the opening of AGM at 6:50 p.m.

2.0 Members Present

2.1 There were total 44 corporate members present, their names and signatures were duly written
in the attendance record.

3.0 Apologies for Absence

3.1 Apologies for absence was received from member, Mr. Ng Ka Yue.

4.0 Adoption of The of Minutes of the AGM held on 3 December 2010

4.1 The meeting minute was proposed to be adopted by Mr. Daniel Pong and seconded by Mr.
Kenneth Yun.

5.0 Adoption of Chairman’s Report for 2010/2011

5.1 The Chairman Mr. Vincent Ho presented the Chairman’s Report with a summary distributed
at the meeting and expressed his gratitude to all Council Members for the contribution to the
Divisional affairs.
5.2 The Chairman’s Report was proposed to be adopted by Mr. Peter Wong and seconded by Mr.
Alan Sin.

6.0 Adoption of Treasurer’s Report for 2010/2011 and Divisional Account

6.1 Treasurer’s Report and Divisional Account as of 31 October 2011 was distributed to all
attendants at the meeting. The Hon Treasurer Mr. Kenny Tse presented his report.
6.2 The Treasurer’s Report and Divisional Account was proposed to be adopted by Mr. Nelson
Ho and seconded by Mr. Arthur Cheung.

7.0 Election of New Office Bearers and Council Members
7.1 The following Office Bearers and Council Members were nominated:

7.2 As the nominations did not exceed the number of seats to be filled, it was declared that the
Office Bearers and Council Members were elected.

8.0 Nomination for Election of Members to represent BSD in HKIS General Council 2011/12
8.1 The following members were proposed to be the three divisional representatives in HKIS
General Council. It was proposed to be adopted by Mr. Robin Leung and seconded by Mr.
David Chan:-

Mr. Kenneth Yun
Mr. Andrew Kung

9.0 Speech by Newly elected Chairman

9.1 Chairman Mr. Vincent Ho thanked the contribution of the outgoing office bearers and council
members for 2010/11. He highlighted the key areas which to be put forward in the following
year:-
i) The Eddie Lee Memorial Education Foundation has been established. The Foundation
would provide incentives to encourage training and continuous development of
surveyors including the award of scholarship to worthy APC candidates. The first
year’s scholarship awards would be held early next year.
ii) In addition to continue the tasks in the previous year, the Chairman would further
develop and accelerate the growth of our division in four directions, i.e. Attraction,
Promotion, Escalation and Succession.

 9.2 The Chairman believed that our new Council can continue to work in unity and harmony to
promote our profession’s development and the welfare of members in the coming year.

10.0 Other Such Matters

10.1 Nil

11.0 There being no further business, the Chairman declared the 27th AGM adjourned at
7:30p.m.
