Synthesis - Remember Be Here Now - Ram Dass

Except you become as little children you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Unless you become a trusting /
open / surrendered being, the energy can`t flow. When energy flows through you => you = universe!
Energy = cosmic consciousness = > love / awareness / light / wisdom / beauty / truth / purity. It`s the same trip! Any
trip you want to take leads to the same place.

Purify yourself => become immerse in the beauty of the Universe. => One with the Universe!
Go within your heart => you`ll realize you are HE. From your heart cave watch the drama called “life”. Watch the
illusion with compassion! “Always bringing me right to my heart where I dwell eternally.”
Quiet your mind => transcend you ego => when you`re with other being`s mind you are the other being`s mind.
When there is a task to do you are the ask! => Total involvement in the NOW!

Reside in your heart => infinite power! If you get far enough in your heart you can see patterns unfolding [of which
this life is only a part of a mosaic]. For this you have to leave the gravitational field of time / space. Leave your
thoughts because they are still in time / space. Get in the place where you can see your conception / birth /
childhood / adolescence / maturity / death.

I am without form / limit. Beyond space / time. I am in everything. Everything is me. I am the bliss of the Universe.
But you`re still seeing only hints.You`ve got a way to go yet. => Go beyond! => Fierce journey / requirement. After
you pass thorugh the gate you`ll get out to another belt of radiation => death => there is an essence left that will get
through => sth that will get through the other side.
What pulls so. to this journey? There is a memory inside each of us that comes from behind that veil [the place of our
own brith] As if you have tasted sth in your past so high that you can`t experience through your senses.
Despair => surrender => fulfillment! Somewhere inside everybody knows there is a place => state of fulfillment!
Thoughts + ways of organizing the world + plans + “games” keep you away from fulfillment!
People who go on this journey are propelled into it like moth into the flame. But nobody push them. It`s like a
caterpillar enclosing itself in a cocoon => metamorphosis =>butterfly. => Inevitable process under which you
have no control!
You are a determined being! There are no accidents / miracles. It`s your vantage point that you`re stuck in. => trip of
paradox! Give it all up => have it all! As long as you want power you can`t have it. Stop wanting => you`ll have it.
You`re on a trip that will last 60 / 70 / 80 years full with fear of its end. But if “I” am not speaking / “I” am not what
“I” thought “I” was, how did “I” get into this “who am I”? For only when I know who I am will “I” know what it is
possible. You can experience this possibility through
● Yoga
● Nearly dying
● Falling in love
● Bearing a child
● being alone in the desert
● Pushing beyond any one of your senses
=> touch a place inside yourself => intuitive validity

Our normal waking consciousness = type of consciousness. There are potential forms of consciousness we are not
aware about them. But apply the stimulus => there are in all their completeness. No account of the Universe can be
final if leaves these other forms of consciousness disregarded!
The understanding comes to you through the experience itself / intellect. => you know there is sth else...sth there!

Surrender = you live and your ego dies! [Ego => fear of death] => eternal union => energy / light. Let go! What`s
holding you back? You thoughts? It`s just ego planning. It`s all right NOW! Are you going to be here or not?

If you get so efficient, if you have got to turn off all the vibrations of the scene because you`re busy about future /
past => it costs too much!

The message you comunicate with so. else has nothing to do with words / body language. It`s the vibration
emanating from you! If you`re around animals / little children / psychotics they will know you immediately.
They`re listening to the vibration that hand is reaching. => you`re a full statement of your being. You send out
vibrations affecting all around you => everything that comes back is affected.

Hippies create police. Police creates hippies. Polarity => opposites. You can only protest effectively when you love
the person whose ideas you are protesting against as much as you love yourself. Love must spring spontaneously!
Love and coercion never go together! Love awakens love in other being! Love transforms everyone whom it
touches.

Everyone lives in a polarity world. The way out of this is to take the poles of every set of opposites and see the way in
which they are one! Once you see the oneness of all => you`re not attached to your polarized position anymore.
Behind all differences [woman-man; good-bad; little-big etc] => background where all labels dissapear. => Here we
are. Here. Now. That`s all there is. Later never exists!
Saving / job / responsabilities - You can do it like it`s a big weight on you or you do it as part of the dance. Do you
surf through it all or do you carry it like a load?

Desire = trap! Desire is creator / destroyer / Universe. Desire-lessness = liberation.

Buddha`s 4 truths
1. Life = suffering [birth / oldage / sickness / not getting what you want / getting what you don`t want] Anything
that is in time => passes away! As long as you want sth in time it will pass. Time passes!
2. Desire => suffering. Stop holding on to life / temporal things / beauty possesions / achievement. Anything!
Say I accept the HERE and NOW fully as it is. Right at this moment!
3. Give up attachment / desire => end the births / deaths / suffering => end the whole thing that keeps you stuck!
=> Become one with it all! => Merge with the Divine Mother.
4. The eightfold path to get rid of desire: Thought - Speech - Action - Livelihood - Exertion - Remembrance -
Meditation - Belief. Do your work. Watch your speech / thought / calmness. Get your calm center going. Get
free of attachment that sucks you in all the time. But this requires inner struggle.

Faith moves mountains! The whole game is based in faith.We should stop worshiping our rational mind / senses =>
you`re in prison. We`re all the same being => “I can do nothing for you but work on myself, you can do nothing for
me but work on yourself.” Work on yourself => calmness / presence / awareness => you hear / sense / are more.

We are always on the stage in our costumes. If you are not in the HERE and NOW you`ll always starve => there is
never enough. In the HERE and NOW there is no more You! It`s just IS-ness. Create in yourself that calm centre.
A centered being emanates calm => it touches you. But you can`t hustle it / make believe you`re calm. You must
center and find that place inside yourself. Start doing activities from that center.

Cross the great ocean of existence. Go beyond. On the other side => freedom! You have gotten the liberation and there
you are => right HERE chopping wood, carrying water => making it sacred. => the yoga of daily life. Do all things
whithout attachment => total renunciation.
Everything is part of waking up! Go inside you to see where you are. Go beyond the things which attract / seduce /
excite you. => the journey across the great ocean of existence. => journey inward. The more deeper you go the more
truth you find.

Jesus said “Because you have seen me you have believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have
believed.” => Love until you the beloved become one. Stop this thought, transcending it. Be centered from the inside.
=> He + You = One. You are the “guru”. He is a perfect mirror for you! He loves in you that which is beyond your

personality / body. It isn`t interpersonal / possesive / needful love. He is love! He sees that place in you which is love.
He can look at a corrupt / evil being and love it so much that never have done it before. => unconditional love!

You are the universe. You are all form. You are the breath / river / void. You are the desire to be enlightened => you
are enlightened => stop looking for a guru because you`re the guru. How you can relate to sth which is already you?

Eternal time / space = here and now alwways. Nobody is coming / going from anywhere. We`re all here. => divine
dancing! Dancing in one body and then in another. See the light in you => see the light in others.
Let go to the attachments to the physical plane / identification with your body /senses / thoughts. Meditate. Sit down.
Go in! Go behind your senses / thoughts. If you go back in far enough you can see your own life drama. => you find
the Atman = Divine Self. It`s the self without attributes, all pervading => the eternal witness. Blessed is he who
knows this Atma. Become free from the changes / qualities pertaining to the body.

The place of pure being = your inner place. Just be! => Harmony. You are the laws of the Universe! This is what
man`s journey into consciousness is all about. This is OM [home] => return to the roots => stillness / calmness /
fulfillment. This is ecstacy of unity / exhilaration of a great achievement. You live your life in the world but you`re
not attached.

Your mind = perfect servant / lousy master! Watch your thoughts from an eternal calm place. Calm => wisdom =>
light. Center yourself, detach from the drama. What`s drama? Breathing / desire / thoughts / emotions. All form is
drama. Go back to be who you really are. You are spirit, not matter! No matter! Never mind! No mind! Never
matter! Either way it works.

Mind creates matter. Ideas => causal plane => Universe. At the top of the causal plane is God. God is manifested into
all levels: causal / astral / physical plane. When you go back to that place in you => you = God. You are it! You are
the idea behind the Universe.

Dreams are real but they don`t have substance => astral plane. Phycisists / poets can touch pure idea! Music and art
can get so essency you feel you are touching God. You`ve got to go the whole trip all the way to the back before you
get to the place where you see that behind all this is OM in its unmanifest form => the void.
At every level at which you exists you`re part of everybody else => it`s all one being. There is no death, only
transformation. Still you do your things, you flow in harmony with the Universe.
Desire, anger, greed, lust => keep you on the wheel of births / deaths.
