 CHAPTER I: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Clever hanger is an easy and practical folding hanger that is different from the hanger that
is often worn. Clever hanger is designed with a system similar to scissors, so easy to use. This
product has value proposition is modern, portable and easy to use. Clever hanger can save space
for the closet and very practical so it can be taken anywhere because this product can be folded
and stored with small size. Products are also made of teak wood, where this type of wood is
resistant to termites, water and solar heat.

1.2 Objectives

The purpose to make clever hanger is the people need a simple hanger, an artistic hanger and a
strong hanger, waterproof and not easily broken which is easily folded and stored with a small
size in a bag for traveling.

1.3 Goals

Clever hanger is made of strong wood material and specification of hanger:

3.1 Survey

Analysis : From 26 respod that we have, 10 respond agree to use hanger when they want dry their
clothes and this respond show that people prefer to hanger.

peoples not find a difficulty when use hanger, 6 people stongly disagree, 6 people disagree from
this respond we can conclude that people dont find difficulty when use hanger.

still comfort with the design of the hanger that revolve in market, it show from 7 responds agree,

3.2 Pengembangan Konsep Subsystem
To make clever hanger, we must have subsystem. They are screw, pegs and body hanger.
before we combain the subsystem to be clever hanger, we must choose the best subsystem.

 CHAPTER IV: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRAINT

4.1 Product Development

Hanger Industries comes from studies the actual cultural and social phenomena as currently
markets and trend generators in fashion and desig, so that with this project we knows what their
customer want and consider them as relevant and reference factors, through a regular process of
design product clever hanger.

On making alpha prototype we design by using cartoon material, for easy in finding material.
The result is quite satisfactory alpha products work well, but need improvement in the hanger
hook

Then we proceed with the prototype beta, with the prototype beta, with natural wood materials in
sketch with alpha prototype. After so clan hanger hook have difficulty in its funcion. altough
not completely perfect, working prototype is already able to run the function properly like product
that is ready to be marketed. Then it is needed by changing the shape of the sketch of the hook
into a shape that leads to simpler usage.

4.1 Constraint
In process of working product from alpha process, we have difficulties in sketching of
products we will create. In determining the materials that we will use for each subsystem either
the work system, cover, or body of product that we will create.

After alpha prototype is accepted, we have to develop Clever Hanger into working working
product. The material that we will use for prototype body from alam wood and will be connected
with screw. Altough whole of the clever hanger successfully created, but the hook is still not in
accordance with the design we have created. Until finaly we made a new working prototype with
better hanger.

 BAB VI: CONCLUSION

Clever hanger to be a solution for the market because the general public need hanger who
artistic, durable, portable and easy to use. Because of that, our background use of wood and the
type of wood is nature wood because the nature wood easily available in Balige. In addition strong,
nature wood is light and easy to shape. And when we development this product, clever hanger can
compete with the other hangers in the market. In addition to answering the wants and needs of the
market, as well as cost incurred for a clever hanger is quite affordable for the general public
