Notes
1. Refer to specification “Piping Material Valves & Fittings” 26096-6000-3PS-P000-0001 for
minimum requirements for selection and procurement of piping, valves and fittings for the
Alba Line 6
2. This spec is used for aboveground / underground Potable/Process water, Blowdown &
Demineralize Water.
3. Potable water systems shall conform to ASME/NSF 61.
4. Flanged valves DN50 and smaller shall only be used on equipment with flanged nozzles
5. Flat faced flanges shall only be used to mate with ductile iron, bronze or non-metallic
flanges
6. In the proximity of molten or high temperature metal, carbon steel jackets may be
required. Use one pipe size larger than actual pipe size for jacket pipe as indicated on
P&ID
7. Threaded fittings shall be NPT per ASME B1.20.1
8. Interface with underground piping shall be done below the ground level nominally one
meter outside the building foundations.

9. Blowdown water can withstand up to 93 °C.

10. Extended Spindle Valves to be used for Underground Piping.
