MST TEACHER CANDIDATE PRACTICUM PLACEMENTS SUNY CORTLAND
Syracuse City School District and Homer Central School District
Developed and implemented lesson plans in ELA, Literacy and Math
Observed tenured teachers for over 200 hours.
Implemented engaging lessons directed toward all learners in whole group (averaging 21
students in this formation), small group (averaging 4 students in this formation) and one-on-one
situations.
Was entrusted to independently manage a small reading-group, while planning & implementing
engaging supplemental extension activities.
Implemented a semester-long Focus-study on one fourth-grade student that was geared to
identify specific situational concerns and improve overall-learning opportunities for that student.
Received positive written and oral feedback from Supervising Professor and field practitioners
regarding spectrum-wide aspects of classroom management.
Provided all classroom management & instruction for full-day(s) when host teacher was absent.

2012 – PRESENT
DAILY SUBSTITUTE SYRACUSE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Implemented lesson-plans and instructions that were provided by absent classroom teachers.
Implemented lessons that were provided successfully within a variety grades, ranging from k-12.
Successfully managed classroom and kept students engaged. Sometimes created impromptu,
grade-appropriate, extensions to lessons when the targeted timing of lesson-plans provided was
insufficient to fill the full class-period. Proctored exams and managed attendance.

2015 – 2016
ENRICHMENT EDUCATOR MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Planned and coordinated STEM lessons in a co-teaching situation. Tailored lessons to meet the
differentiated needs of students with IEP requirements. Taught an average of 26 students per
class session. Prepared report cards and behavioral reports. Created incentives for whole-class
engagement that were geared to deter student truancy and absenteeism.
