Discussion of Results for HW 17:

Mesh 1 and 2 give an approximate solution for node 8 displacement that is roughly 60% accurate while
the refined mesh 3, for both plain stress and plain strain, gives a solution that is 80% accurate. This
shows that through mesh refinement a better solution can be obtained. All three meshes have nodal
reactions that show the meshes are in equilibrium and are therefore good meshes to solve
displacements.
