The band were called "Starfish" originally and a friend's group was called "Coldplay". When
they did not want the name anymore, "Starfish" asked if they could use it instead. The
original Coldplay took the name from a book of collected poems called Child's Reflections:
Cold Play.

Hello, my name is Radu and as you can see I will present you my favourite rock bands from the
2000’s.
The first one that I’ve chosen is Coldplay and maybe you are asking what is the meaning of their
name. Surprisingly, the band were initialy called “Starfish” and a friend’s group was called
“Coldplay”.When they did not want the name anymore, “Starfish” asked if they could use it
instead. The original Coldplay took the name from a book of collected poems called Child’s
Reflections: Cold Play.
It was though to choose a favourite song from each band,that’s for sure, but I can call “Speed of
Sound” as one of my favourites. I think that the song wants to tell us that the knlowedge that we
have now is limited and we can desire a lot more and push ourselves to our fullest potential.

I saw Tudor Chirila at the Voice of Romania a few years ago and I was curious about his music.
So, that’s how I found about his band. I listened to all of their songs of the album called 2012
and “Regatul meu pe un vis” is truely a song that has a place in my heart. I’ve learned from that
song that you should always stick to your dreams and don’t let anyone influence you.

The last, but not least, Linkin Park is a band that it was recommended by a friend of mine when
I was in the 5th grade or something like that. They really have some astonishing songs and it
was again a really tough choice to choose a song, but In the end is really a song that deserves
to be mentioned. I think that, indirectly,the song advises us to spend our time wisely and not to
be in the position to say that “in the end it doesn’t even matter”.
