1) Approval of minutes taken from meeting held 8/24.

2) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to


accept the low bid submitted for repairs of Highway
28 West sewer trunk mains. Bids to be opened 9/7.

3) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to


accept the low bid submitted for annual bid for 2011
model year vehicles for various departments. Bids to
be opened 9/7.

4) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to


renew the existing lease with Chandler Corporation,
LLC for the use of 3700 Government Street.

5) RESOLUTION authorizing the removal of a portion of


the 16th Street Weir located in Bayou Rapides.

F. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION


SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING

6) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing


the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for
additions and renovations to the festival plaza at the
Alexandria Zoo. Bids to be opened 9/7.
7) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing
the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Jakes
building roof replacement.

8) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing


the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for a
minimum of five mid-size diesel buses for the
ATRANS department.

9) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing


the Mayor to accept the quote received from Petrus
Feed & Seed for athletic field marking paint for a
twelve month period.

10) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


authorizing the Mayor to renew existing contract with
CBS Cleaning Service for janitorial services for Lab
Testing and Wastewater departments.

11) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


authorizing Change Order No. 1 for Rylee Contracting
Company for the restoration of urban water well site
& water distribution system replacement.

12) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Mutual Aid
Agreement with the Louisiana Municipal Association
to cooperate and work together to make voluntary
mutual aid assistance available in case of a locally
declared emergency event.

13) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative
Endeavor Agreement with Crime Stoppers of Cenla to
serve the crime scene investigations unit.

14) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written
Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Friends of
Bringhurst Golf Course to allow for the promotion and
operational support of Bringhurst Golf Course.

15) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


amending 2010-2011 fiscal year’s operating budget
specifically 1) to provide for appropriations necessary
to fund school crossing guard positions through the
interdivisional transfer of funds from existing
economic development and travel-line items of
Mayor and City Council; 2) to allow said funds to be
used until a final determination of the appropriate
level of staffing and site locations; and 3) to amend
the previous council ordinance deleting use of fund
balance for this appropriation.

PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING COMMITTEE

16) To consider final adoption of an ordinance enacting


Section 15-41.1 of the Alexandria City Code
pertaining to criminal damage to property by
defacing with graffiti. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING
9/7)

17) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning


property located at 1200 Rapides Avenue as
requested by Gus Williams from “SF-2/MHO” Single
Family moderate density district with a mobile home
overlay district to “MF-2” Multi-family moderate
density district to allow for a duplex. (PUBLIC
WORKS/ZONING 9/7)

18) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning


property located at Provine Place, being a parcel of
land containing an area of 6.00 acres located
adjacent to Lot 1 of the The Lake District Phase II
situated in Section 27, T4N, R1W, as requested by
The Lake District, LLC, represented herein by Frances
Bolton Davis, from “C-2” General Commercial district
to “C-2/MFO”, General commercial district with a
multi-family overlay district to allow for a ninety-six
(96) unit apartment complex. (PUBLIC
WORKS/ZONING 9/7)

LEGAL COMMITTEE

19) To consider final adoption of an ordinance to


amend Ordinance No. 345-2006 to comply with
provisions of Act No. 850 of the 2010 Legislature
session relative to a public comment period prior to
action on an agenda item. (LEGAL COMMITTEE
9/7)

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

20) To consider final adoption of an ordinance


authorizing the Mayor to enter into contracts and any
necessary ancillary agreements with Escapee
Productions, LA, LLC to promote film production
within Central Louisiana, assist local equity partners
and to train local crews; to provide funding of up to
$15,000 from the Administration; and to provide for
assistance and workmanship from the Department of
Utilities; Public Works, Police and Fire. (ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT 9/7)
