INCLUSIVE EDUCATION 

The school stongly subscribes to Inclusive Education and took the initiative in this direction from 2002-2003 wherin
Dr Gayathri Krishna of Brindavan Psycho education Centre set up the resource cntre in Sishya School as a boon to
slow learners.Teaching patterns are incorporated without emphasis on speed,rather the emphasis is on mastery of
concepts at a desirable and comfortable pace to the child.Evaluation is therefore never in terms of Pass or Fail but
based on successful completion of tasks.

SOCIAL OUTREACH
Interact Club:
The school is an active mamber of the Interact Club of the Rotary Club,Hosur.The students democratically elect
leaders and charter their programmes ranging from collecting funds for Leprosy Eradication,Helpage India,Global
Cancer Plus,SOS Children's Village,monthly donation to Kamala Nehru Orphanage,Krishnagiri,Polio Plus,blood
donation camps etc.

Road Safety:
The school is a member of Suraksha Programme of Ashok Leyland,Hosur.The students focus primarily on road safety
and safety at home.during school assembly ,the students depict various facts on safety and create awareness
amongst students.

Environment:
Through the PEAS club(Programme for Environmental Awareness in Schools),the students participate in
environment awareness in and around the school by tree planting,removal of plastics,maintainence of the compost
pit and vermiculture,maintainance of Herbal garden in the school etc.

First Aid:
The school is also a member of St.Jhon's Ambulance and The Red Cross and focus on first aid training for the
students.

Computer Awareness:
Basic course conducted for orphanage children,school,parents and government school teachers free of cost.

a) The school is enrolled as a member of the Bharath Scouts and Guides, TamilNadu with Principal,Mrs.Vasanthi
Thiagarajan as the District Commissioner(Guides),Hosur Educational District.

b)International Award for Young People: The school is a member of International Award for Young People.The
children perform service through various activities and qualify for Duke of Edinburgh's award.

c)Project Citizen: The school is alsop an active member of Project Citizen of India,a wing of centre for Civic
Education, Calabasas,California,USA,wherin students of class VIII & IX select problems in their town and work to
bring effective change.

d)Quality Circles:The students are trained in the design of Quality Circles wherein various issues related to the
School and beyond are taken up by the QC committee of Students and teachers and worked upon.

e)School Pupil Leaders, Heads of various committees and Captains of Houses: are selected through panel discussions
and parameters of the School that are transparent to ensure democratic selection of the best candidates.

UNIQUE ENDEAVOURS
The school celebrated the Teacher's day in 2006 with a differnce by having a paper presentation on the topic
"Teacher productivity in classrooms". Each department presented a paper based on classroom experience.

 On the same day ,a book on "Creative Bulletin and Board Ideas",forwarded to Scholastic India Private Limited for
publication was released.

 Initiated the programme for exchange of teacher ideasin Hosur-ASPIRE-Association of School Principals for

TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION
The school strongly belives in incorporating technology in education for better learning outcomes.To make it
possible two AV labs have been set up with LCD projectors and good audio systems-one for juniors and one for
seniors.

 The school is a part of Intel Teach to future with Master trainers and Teacher trainers.

 Initiated Wipro- Applying thought in schools and School Net India's Foundation course for teachers .

 Subject wise timetable is alloted to ensure equal oppurtunity for all the classes conducting Technology Aided
Lesson.
 Teachers are also given two compulsry periods per week to develop Technology Aided Lessons.

The Principal was recognized as t runner Up at State Level in Air- India -The Hindu BOLT award for TEACHERS the
year 2004.

 The Vice Principal Mrs. Vijayalakshmi was selected the winner at the District Level of Air – India-The
