About the College
Loyola College, Mettala, is a minority Catholic Co-
Educational Institution, affiliated to Periyar University,
Salem. It is one among the nine colleges, run by the Jesuit
Madurai province. The college Emblem with the motto
“Let your light shine” brings lights of hope and liberation
to others. The primary aim of Loyola College – Mettala,
is to provide university education in a Christian
atmosphere to deserving students, especially those
belonging to the Catholic Christian community especially
the poor and the marginalized sections of the society, the
Dalits. The College aims at training young men and
women to be leaders in all walks of life and to serve their
fellowmen with justice, truth and love.
Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce was started in the
year 2015. It provides teaching in the area of Commerce,
Accounting, Economics and Business Statics and
maintains a good industry and institutional interaction.
The enthusiastic and excellent teachers of this
department prepare students to pursue their higher
studies like CA, CMA, and ACS and get employed in
the highly competitive job market.
Department of BBA
Loyola Institute of Business Studies
(LIBS) Mettala was started primarily to form socially and
ethically committed management professionals through a
three year full time BBA programme, to lead
organizations in a Globalised environment. It includes
complete knowledge of leadership and management.
Many programs incorporate in training and practical
experience, in the form of case projects, presentations,
internships, industrial visits, and interaction with experts
from the industry, focus on bridging academics with
industry.
Theme of the Conference
Rapid changes are taking place in every sphere
of Commerce and Management. In India, the government
makes economical changes like Demonetization & GST.
Today, Commerce and Management have become highly
technology oriented and sophisticated. Information
technology is influencing in every walk of business.
Corporate are adopting new strategies.
New ideas, trends, technologies and methods are
rising for addressing new issues and problems that the
commerce world is facing in the context of globalised and
digitalized market scenario. This conference aims to
provide a platform for deliberations on issues mentioned

Call for Papers
Original research papers focusing on practices and
experiences on the thrust areas are invited for
presentation. Papers should be submitted in accordance
with the following guidelines.
 Full name as it should appear in certificate.
 Designation and college address with e-mail.
 Title of the paper.
 Abstract (not more than 150 words).
 Full paper typed in MS Word (1.5 space, 2500
words, APA Format).
Abstracts and full paper can be mailed to
loyocom18@gmail.com before 3rd February 2018, the
hard copy of the paper along with DD and registration
form should be sent superscripted “The Convener,
National Conference, Loyola College, Mettala,
Namakkal-636 202”.
Registration fee
Corporate people : Rs. 500
Faculty Members : Rs. 300
Research Scholars : Rs. 200
Students : Rs. 100
Registration fee includes kit, lunch and refreshment.
The registration fee can be paid by DD drawn in favour
of Principal, Loyola College payable at Canara Bank,
Karkoodalpatti branch.
Online registration also accepted through Loyola online

Spot Registration will also be accepted. Best presenter
will be awarded.
Publication of Conference Papers
Selected papers will be published by a reputed publisher
with an ISBN. The publication fee is Rs. 500
Participants are requested to make their own
arrangements for travel and accommodation.
