Guidelines for selection procedure in the recruitment of SWA-2017
1. Educational Qualification for SWA posts is Matriculation or ITI or equivalent from
recognized board/University/Institution. 2. The age limit is 18-30 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit will be 01.07.2017. The upper age limit relaxation is up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates as per Govt. of India guidelines from time to time. 3. Interested candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria shall necessarily submit their application ON LINE ONLY. For online application please visit the website www.cwc.nic.in or www.cwc.gov in and click on ‘Work-charged Recruitment System’. Select preferred region as IBO, Chandigarh and circle office as Monitoring & Appraisal Directorate, Shimla. 4. Select list shall be prepared in 1:3 ratio of number of posts based on merit in qualifying exam i.e. Matriculation/ITI or equivalent after scrutiny of all the applications received as on closing date. In case the candidates possess both the qualifications, then the higher marks percentage of the two i.e. Matric and ITI will be considered. 5. The Physical /Skill test as specified in the advertisement would likely be conducted at Shimla to determine the physical fitness of the candidates. 6. Physical / Skill test shall be in two parts - (a) 1200m walking at a mountainous stretch with 25 lb hand load in a specified time and (b) 100m swimming in deep water without halt. 7. Separate notice shall be sent to the shortlisted candidates for attending the Physical /Skill test. 8. The final selection would be done from the merit list prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Matriculation or ITI examination or Equivalent of those who have qualified in the Physical / Skill Tests. 9. In case of tie, candidates with higher age shall be given preference. 10. No Interview will be conducted. In case of the grades obtained in 10th class exam / ITI, the same will be converted in equivalent percentage as per the guidelines of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/ITI institutions, respectively. 11. The original certificates of the qualifications/category would be verified before commencement of the Physical Tests. 12. The above posts are temporary but likely to continue. The initial posting shall be at the remote locations in Hansa, Gulling, Shalkar, Titang/Khab, Ropa, Moorang, Sangla, Nathpa, Rampur, Pandoa, Ghaluwal, Barot, Jubbal, Kothi and other sites located in remote places (under Satluj, Beas and Yamuna basin) of Himachal Pradesh. Postings shall also be done at any where either site office or Sub Division /Division/Directorate office at any location/state but within the jurisdiction of the Monitoring & Appraisal Directorate, CWC, Shimla. The selected candidates would be liable to be transferred anywhere within the jurisdiction of M&A Directorate, CWC, Shimla. 13. The candidate has to submit the undertaking that he/she is ready to serve in the remote areas of Himachal Pradesh otherwise his/her candidature will not be considered. 14. No weightage will be given to higher qualifications. 15. Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate. 16. The list of panel will be kept for one year for consideration and the vacancies arising due to non-joining/resigning after joining shall be filled as per merit list.
