D.11 Documentation
Contractor is required to have available on the unit and at shore base the copies of:
a) The manufacturer's complete documentation of the drilling equipment. This must cover
engineering specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, weights and dimensions
spare parts lists. Particular attention is to be paid to ensuring that the manufacturer of the BOP
control equipment produce detailed operating and maintenance instructions for their equipment
including illustrated parts lists with numbers and description of parts.
b) Test and inspection reports:
1) BOP stacks;
2) running and testing tools;
3) Dp’s, DC’s and Drilling Equipment
4) Wellhead Adapters and Equipment;
Company shall have the opportunity to review the final specification selected by Contractor
to ensure the equipment is technically acceptable. MODU Spec. is recognized third party by
Company for BOP inspection.
c) Rig operating manuals covering such subjects as towing, anchoring, stability, safety instruction
and regulations, storm procedure, operating limits, abandonment and Company policy, blow-out
procedures, etc., shall be available on the unit at all times.

All used equipment shall be inspected by recognized oilfield tubular inspection company at Contractor's expense
before the start of the first well and certified as a minimum to premium grade after inspection as per API RP7G.The
Tubular and Handling equipment must be re-inspected every six months. the inspection to include as a minimum as
follows:
- All drill pipes to be electro-magnetically inspected including electronic end-area inspection. Plastic lining to be
inspected by mechanical-optical instrument. Tool joints to be cleaned, shoulders visually inspected and
threads checked with a profile gauge.
- All drill collar connections are to be checked by magnetic particle inspection, visual inspection of shoulders
and thread profile gauge (comb).
- Any drill collar connections showing defects shall be re-cut or replaced by new collars. Thread cutting is only
to be done by reputable manufacturer who manufactures rotary drill stem elements and is API authorized.
- For all connections, including pup joints and crossovers, all pins are to have stress relief grooves and all
boxes to have bore-backs. Stress relief grooves and all threads to be cold-worked. All threads are to receive
anti-galling treatment.
- Stabilizers, substitutes and reamers, etc. which are used in the drilling string are to have connections to the
same quality as drill collar connections. All bodies to be inspected for cracks.
- All equipment to be provided with thread protectors for pin and box.

Mud Tester shall, as a minimum, performs mud tests when required. In addition, the
Mud Tester shall be capable of performing all relevant water based and oil based mud
tests to verify the basic mud condition e.g. density, viscosity, etc.
The Mud Tester shall, on behalf of the Company, be responsible for supervising the
performance monitoring, reporting and maintenance of the equipment specified herein
and the condition monitoring, reporting and maintenance of the mud properties.
The Mud Tester shall be responsible for the safe storage and handling of all
materials (bulk and palletized), chemicals and bulk liquid used in conjunction
with the above equipment specified herein.
