RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant | University of Kentucky, Lexington (August 2017 to present)
Current project seeks to characterize the current formation architecture and establish a predictive tool
for expected geochemical reactions, informing decisions for fluid injection. To accomplish this goal, bulk
isotope geochemistry and petrographic analysis will be utilized. This study hypothesizes that δ18O and δ13C
values correlate to formation characteristics, namely porosity and degree of diagenetic alteration.
Further characterization of the formation, in combination with reactive transport modeling, will provide a
framework for the determination of ideal fluid injection intervals.

Nuclear Forensics Intern | Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore (June 2012 to June 2013)
Worked in the environmental radiochemistry group to investigate the use of naturally occurring (222Rn)
and introduced (SF6 and Xe) tracers to model groundwater flow.

Research Assistant | Cal State University, East Bay, Hayward (September 2011 to August 2013)
Conducted weekly groundwater monitoring for water quality and used an introduced tracer (Xe) to
determine groundwater residence time between recharge pond and monitoring wells. Analyzed water
samples for stable isotopes and radon.
