2. Brief overview
The course contains basic engineering tools which can be applied to obtain numerical
solutions to Engineering problems.
3. Course Objectives/Goals
The objective of the course is to bring out the potential ability of the students to be able to
apply numerical methods to solve engineering problems. Students will also be able to apply
numerical analysis software packages to solve simple engineering problems.

Tutorials: tutorial questions will form the basis of examples to be given to the
students to work out.
Assignment and test will be given. These will form part of their continuous
assessment.

Continuous assessment: 30%. Examination: 70%
