groups! It’s been a real team effort!

Reading/Language Arts
Our learning targets for reading this week have included:
*long e vowel sound made by e, or ee
*dividing syllables in the VCCV pattern to decode
bigger words
*blending words.
*rhyming words
*understanding syllables
*using background knowledge and thinking about the
author’s purpose in our reading
*learning new vocabulary.
*being able to use nouns properly (identify nouns)
*reading just right books
Our Writing learning target has focused on:
*the writing process! We have been working on writing thank you letters.
We are learning:
1. correct letter form
2. how to punctuate the parts of a letter
3. how to write a beginning sentence,
4. to support our beginning sentence, and
5. to write a concluding sentence
6. how to delete unnecessary words or phrases, and
7. how to edit our work at the end to make sure it’s our BEST work!
Health
We’ve continued our work on
Math
germs this week. We’ve read a This week’s math learning
