Activity

define two heads of pectoralis major Clavicular and sternocostal

define insertion of pectoralis major

identify deltopectoral triangle, find the cephalic vein here

cut clavicular head and reflect laterally

identify lateral pectoral nerves and vessels here

cut sternocostal head and reflect laterally

note the clavipectoral fascia and pectoralis minor muscle (define its attachments)

while flapping pectoralis major note the lateral pectoral nerve and medial pectoral nerve and
accompanying vessels

cut medial attachment of pectoralis minor and reflect it superiorly towards coracoid process

look for thoracoacromial artery and its branches in the area of clavipectoral fascia

identify position of subclavius muscle and lateral thoracic artery

identify serratus anterior muscle and innervating nerve

replace all the structures and close
