Designing for the Future: A Technical-Systems Approach to BUET B U E T

High Performance Buildings

8-9 February 2018 (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM)

High-performance building(HPB) means a building which interacts with its

systems both on micro and macro level, and how building occupants interact
with those systems. Compared to traditional green building, HPB offers a
healthy indoor environment and energy-efficient infrastructure. HPB also
delivers optimal efficiency, reliability, value and comfort. It considers different
aspects of the building, such as sustainability, accessibility, functionality,
productivity, aesthetics, cost-effectiveness, historic preservation, safety and
security. Content of this workshop demonstrates some of the aspects on
how to make the high-performance buildings concept tangible and real.
Building and construction industries can be benefitted by implementing
these ideas to build successful future-proof infrastructures.
