Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Students will be able to learn and understand what they are doing right
and wrong during this process with the teacher. Videos will be available to students to see different types of
jumps as well to see proper form for each type. Thus allowing them to pick which works best for them and
having a clear example on how to perform the skill.

Lesson idea implementation: Students will be in groups of 5 with each group to one high bar setup with a
landing mat setup behind the bar. Students will practice progressions they saw from the videos. Students will
practice the scissor technique and its progressions first for approaching the bar and getting over the bar at a
low level. Next, students will practice the fosbury flop progressions to allow them practice getting over the
bar at higher levels. Throughout the lesson students will first work on approach, then takeoff, and lastly bar
rotation using these techniques. To conclude the lesson students can volunteer to demonstrate a high jump
and use the video to show where volunteers are showing excellency and still need improvement to better
their ability at the skill.

Reflective Practice: The activities that I created could impact the student’s learning as it shows them that
there is technology out there that can be used to help them event in the gym. As sometimes that I the
teacher may not be the best at showing them how to perform a skill, but a video of someone who is proficient
at the skill can properly show them how to perform the skill. This way students get to see a different view of
PE that is not just a class where you play team games, but have a chance to better your health and develop
new skills that never knew you could do. Other technology tools that could enhance this lesson would be
using diverse types of skills and creating other videos that don’t just focus with sports skills.
